My husband, son, daughter in law and myself dropped in for a tasting on Saturday June3. We went into the tasting room to ask a about a wine tasting. It was 4:15. We were told by Kyla that a wine tasting takes about 15-20minutes. “We close at 5 and the staff is out of here by 5:30” Then she went on to say that if the 4th person (my DIL joining us a bit later) didn’t arrive soon, there would be no time for a tasting. So, we just bought a bottle and went to the back patio. It took some time to receive the ordered bottle as she was the only one in the shop to run the cash. Then about 4:50 we thought that we should pay, my DIL bought some more rosé. As we got up from our table, a group that was at the outside front tasting table came to the back patio and received their food. As we were paying, a group of 4 walked in and wanted a tasting. They were told no - as we close in 3 minutes. Don’t understand why you wouldn’t do a quick tasting while others were just starting their boards on the back patio. The rosé we had was good. Don’t know about the other wines. Don’t know if i would go back just because of the service. My son was telling us of the liquor laws in Alberta - don’t know if they’re the same. But if you serve a glass of wine you have to stay open an hour from that pouring. I guess Kyla had somewhere to be on...
Read moreThis family-run winery absolutely blew my mind - gorgeous sceneries, fabulously friendly and knowledgeable staff, highest attention to detail, and delicious platters! Now about the wine - Wes, the award-winning wine maker, has managed to create the most exquisite wines that are an absolute treat for the palate! We did a tasting with Wes himself and all wines have a distinguished elegance and full of nuance. For years I was convinced I did not enjoy Chardonnay, but Baillie-Grohman’s version is the best I have ever tasted, truly.
It is a special treat to visit on a Friday evening when they have talented live musicians performing, giving a wonderful vibe. Tickets only cost $10 and proceeds go to local charities - wonderful to see such active engagement in and contribution to the Creston community.
A massive thank you to the entire team and we will for sure be back for more! Only wish I could afford this place more stars...
Read moreOur entire experience at this winery was outstanding. The grounds are beautifully maintained and you can feel the love and hard work the minute you walk up. The wine was absolutely delicious and the views were spectacular. We did a tour with host Lorne who was the most knowledgeable, engaging guide we have ever experienced. We never thought it would be possible to learn that much at a winery! Furthermore, the tour was very decently priced. Would highly recommend...
