Oh my goodness. ..I have to share our experience today with you at Skimmerhorn Winery...we arrived about 1.45 pm...there were four in our party..great friends from Manitoba...ot was smokey but the sun was shining brightly in the valley! Our waitress was friendly..knowledgeable regarding the Tapas and the wine . We had 2 bottles of wine.. the 2015 Devil's Chair paired with a great local Charcuterie Board of local meats and cheeses (we ordered two), a Beet salad, a grilled peach salad and pork schnitzel....all were wonderfu...beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had two chocolate (served all the time and made by the chef) creme with laleche and whipping cream & marigold garnish...all edible...and two Panna Ricotta...with raspberry coulis..to die for both desserts the 2015 Marechal Foch..was the perfect accompaniment An afternoon . to remember. ..great great friends...great deck. ..great views.....wonderful food. . Delicious wines...slow and relaxed. ..thank...

Good wine , bad service I had the worst experince ever at this winery. I booked one week prior to my 20 years wedding anniversary; trusting that I would be hosted with that in mind. The service was not good at all; the table provided was in front of the busy entrance door; and at the same time several other tables were available and i was told we could not move. Yet? I witnessed guests, one after another being seated at the additional tables. I have travelled accross USA , Canada and europe to many wineries and this by far was the most disappointing. Sometimes a good wine becomes a bad taste in ones mouth once the service that goes along with it is not cool. I hope that the owner recognizes that putting unexpierenced non caring hosts will eventually cost...

What a lovely place to visit in Creston! We were fortunate to have a sunny day so we could sit on the patio and enjoy a fall day. The view from the patio is lovely with rolling hills stretching south to the border and the fall colours just starting. We had a wine tasting one afternoon and came back the next day for lunch. Lunch is tapas style with several very tasty small plates. The menu was farm to table so you could experience what the surrounding farms could offer. White wines were very nice, no red wines available when we visited. Definitely a place to return to on...

Skimmerhorn Winery in Creston is a fantastic destination for wine enthusiasts! The wine tasting experience was exceptional, offering a superb selection of wines that were truly enjoyable. The food was delicious and paired perfectly with the wines, enhancing the overall experience. The scenery from the patio is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views overlooking the valley and vineyards that create a serene and picturesque atmosphere.

Was a very cold feeling walking into the tasting room. Donna, the taster lady, was just going through the motions and explaining the wines like she was reading it from a sheet. 4 wines, 5 minutes tops. Felt unwanted and rushed. Bought 1 wine as it was good, but the staff are not personable. I suggest if you like the wines just buy them and skip the interaction with the winery.
