This was a beautiful trail with multiple lookouts along the way. Easy to access free parking in a lot that wasn't busy (steep incline with gravel and large rocks and dips in the access lane on your way to the lot - its a short drive up from the road just super bumpy, so good to have strong tires). The trail itself was awesome and was slippery given the rainy weather we had, but my boys (12 and 14 years old) and I managed to complete the entire trail in 2 hours and 20 minutes. The trail was really easy to follow; it was well traveled and maintained with some short parts that required a bit of scrambling. Luckily, those sections have ropes to assist you up and then back down the path. Overall, it is a healthy challenge of a hike with more than one beautiful viewpoint on the way. I would absolutely recommend this trail for active families, a good workout, and...
Read moreAwesome trail! I arrived around 9:45am and left around 12:30pm (on a Thursday) and was surprised that I was the only one there the whole time! The parking lot is nice and big and the road leading up to it was easy enough. There's a fun rope swing near the beginning of the trail, followed by a stunning waterfall! After that the trail becomes a little more difficult with lots of inclines and stairs to tackle. The views at the top are definitely worth it though and there's a few benches to relax and take in the views which is nice. Make sure to wear shoes with good tread, especially if it has rained recently. There are spots on the trail where water flows over the rocks which could make it a bit slick! Overall I absolutely...
Read moreGorgeous hike. My 4yo and I made it to the first viewpoint but that was enough for little legs. The sign says this first portion is ok for "novice" hikers but you definitely need a decent level of fitness for the big stairs etc.
The road to the parking lot is not signed. There is a "1km" sign and then a series of residences. The road to the parking is just past the houses on the right and made of light coloured stone. Just past that on the left is a pull out for smaller cars that can't take the gravel to park. The trail from there to the parking is obvious when walking, but again, not signed. Once you're at the parking lot the signs for the trail are clear...
