By far one of my favourite parks! The pictures attached are up Silverdaisy mountain. It has been one of my favourite hikes so far. The trail is in pretty rough shape in some spots, but it adds to the challenge and charm. The rest of the park is also really beautiful and it seems exploring the whole park would take a really long time, but I would recommend visiting it. There is a bit of everything there that would be good for a lot of different people. There is a lot of interesting historical information here and there are rhododendron patches which is quite rare for them to grow naturally in the wild. Did I mention the park is beautiful? If you go make sure you are aware of bears and bring bug spray. There is also no cell reception here, so come prepared and be aware of that in order to ensure your safety. The mosquitos and wasps are the biggest negative to this wonderful park. As long as you let people know where you are going and are prepared with enough food and water so that you can take advantage of all the exploring and different activities the park...

I have been going to Skagit Valley for 18 years. I know the place pretty well and I would call it a second home. The Obelisk trail is magnificent, a really short but nice walk to see a little bit of what the woods can offer. The Canadian side has better campgrounds and nicer ranger activities, but the american side has better water and washrooms (the camping sites here are not very good, but free). Fishing is a must, you can get some awesome rainbow trout and you gotta cook 'em on the grill once you get on the shore (you can't use worm lures though!). Wonderful swimming at the boat launch with decently clear water. During off season when the lake is drained its a lot of fun running around and exploring the lake bed. It is quite a drive with sharp rocky roads but well worth it for the incredible scenery and the memories you...

The skagit River trail is a great long walk to do in spring. It is about 2-3 hours drive from Vancouver. The entire trail is about 10 hours one way. It is best to go half way and turn around and return to where you started. Sumulo Grove is a good place to start as it is beside the highway, there is also a parking lot at the other end as well. If you like camping then doing whole trail is possible in two days as there is campsites at either end of trail. Near the beginning there is an old mine and a...

The park is absolutely beautiful and Ross Lake is clean and refreshing. The campground at Ross lake is well kept, park operators are hard to find. I did enjoy speaking to the American and Canadian park rangers and they had great activities for kids. It seems like a party campground as it’s 60km down a gravel road. Also the mosquitos were horrible, you can’t stay outside without bug spray and in the sun or else you will be eaten alive. We left a day early because the bugs were so bad even with heavy spray.

A paradise on earth. Small Brooks are flowing on the stony river bed. The whole valley is covered with green forest. Thick wood, singing river and whistling ducks will be one's company. You can walk 15 km to reach the end of the jungle trails. Time flows lazily when one holds his fishing rod without much expectations. The washrooms are closed.
