A wonderful place to paddleboard or kayak. No motorboats on lake. While there is a little road noise it’s not too bad and the scenery and wildlife make up for it. Can paddle up the canal towards Okanagan Falls. That end of the lake has cattail marsh and lots of smallmouth bass, birds and butterflies. The water was perfect for swimming at the end of May. There is a place to launch kayaks near site 5 in the campground.

Beautiful lake in the South Okanagan is a Migratory Bird Sanctuary protected areas for California Bighorn sheep on either side of the lake. The lake is non-motorized.

Beautiful spot right along the highway connected to the okanagan River. Went ice fishing and ice skating with the family. Great spot to stop!

We were on our way to Kelowna in the late afternoon in late March, driving on Hwy 97. We stopped a few times along the way to take these gorgeous photos. There was not much greenery, but it was sunny & there was some autumn foliage left on shrubs, plus some ice remaining on the lake. This section of Hwy 97 from Osoyoos to Kelowna is a...

Beautiful lake, no motors allowed. We come here to kayak. Spend time on the lake, then either go down river underneath McIntyre Bluff, which can be a magical experience, or upriver into the narrow channels with lots of trees and shrubs on either side, teeming with birds and...
