I had a wonderful wild camp here. Only cost me $18 a night basic facilities. But quiet and well maintained. The lake is clean, good for swimming, and fishing. I caught some huge white fish and carp. Small town nearby was easy to get supplies from. The campsite is next to the road but small so you do feel the solitude. If you are a fisherman, there some good sites with you own mini beach. Security was not a problem. Could leave my fishing gear out overnight all there in the morning. Small animals around at night looking for food scraps nothing big brown and scary.

Spent 2 weeks here. We enjoyed the wildlife viewing and spring fishing. The park manager was a person I worked with up in the patch, it was a great conversation the whole time we were there. Bathroom stalls were clean and access to pay wood. We would definitely stay there again. The trade off for the beauty is the highway noise. We didn't notice after a couple of days.

Non lakefront is hot and noisy road traffic Lakefront is nice but constantly hassled from others to get your spot. Bring a big sign saying "NO, we aren't leaving, and my dog will bite you if you come into my site."

This small campsite is right along a major road so you would expect to be hearing lots of noise...however you do not. Perhaps its the abundance of trees or that it is set down a bit from the road, but I didn't hear it. Vaseux Lake is one of my all time favorite spots. Nice little lake that has no motor boats, just the odd kayak or canoe- a spectacular view and an easy access lake for swimming. Vaseux Lake Bird Sanctuary is just up the road and if you are lucky you might spot a herd of Big Horned Sheep. You will most certainly see many bald eagles. If you go up Dulton Creek Road right behind and a short way up the hill you will have a beautiful view and there is an ancient pictograph...

This is a fantastic family friendly little campground. Only 9 sites and is completely first come first served. The lakefront sites will fill up early. We stayed one night on the highway side then up early to get the lakefront site for the next few nights. Washrooms are outhouses but seem kept up well. (Dont smell the worst lol) there is a water pump but water has to be boiled to use. Firewood sold $8 for 1 bundle or $15 for 2....
