## Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park: A Cascading Beauty for All Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park, located east of Chilliwack, British Columbia, offers a delightful escape into nature. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect: **The Waterfall:** * The park's namesake, Bridal Veil Falls, is the main attraction. * At 60 meters tall, the water cascades down a smooth rock face, resembling a veil – hence the name. * The short and easy trails lead you to viewing platforms for a captivating perspective. **Family-Friendly Fun:** * Bridal Veil Falls Park is perfect for a family outing. * The well-maintained trails are suitable for most ages and fitness levels. * The picnic area provides a perfect spot for a relaxing lunch surrounded by nature. **A Touch of History:** * History buffs will find remnants of the concrete foundation for a power generator used to supply electricity to the Bridal Falls Chalet in the early 1900s. * The park also sits on the site of the Popkum village, with evidence of settlements dating back to the 18th century. **Things to Keep in Mind:** * The park is a day-use area, so there's no camping available. * While the falls are beautiful year-round, the best time to visit for water flow is typically during spring runoff (April to June). * The park can get crowded, especially on weekends, so consider arriving early for a more peaceful experience. **Overall:** Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park offers a scenic escape with a beautiful waterfall as the centerpiece. It's a great option for a family outing, a picnic with friends, or a quick nature fix. **Additional Tips:** * Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain. * Bring bug spray, especially during the summer months. * Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails. I hope this review helps you plan your visit to Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park!

These falls are a can't miss free attraction located along highway 1 not far from Agassi and Harrison Hot Springs. The perfect place to take a small driving break and enjoy the wonders of nature at its finest. The parking area is a small one way loop type area with some spaces for cars and tour busses, so you should be aware it can be very busy especially during the summer months. Outhouse style washrooms are located just off of the parking area as well as picnic areas before you enter the trail. The hiking trail is not difficult and splits into two branches, either trail will take you to the base of the falls. The hike itself is perhaps 10 mins and easy with a slight grade in some places but very manageable for pretty much everybody in your family. It is highly discouraged to go past the barriers at the foot of the falls, and you will see a bright yellow warning sign advising you not to cross the barrier, however you will immediately notice a large percentage of people climbing past the barrier to scrabble up the hill to get closer to the falls (I did), but be warned ⚠️ It is a steep incline, it's wet and muddy and very slippery with any number of tripping hazards and very sharp rocks and boulders, climbing this you are risking injury and death from a fall. That being said if you take the risk, the view is amazing.

Went during an overcast day in October, and it wasn't busy at all. I would think it would be extremely busy during the summer. The way up to the waterfall is about a 15 minute uphill walk, so it's not really a long hike or anything, but it's uphill all the way there. There are actually two separate trails to get there, but they're fairly close together. You can make the trip longer by going up one way and going back down the other way if you like. The trail to the left of the entrance is definitely the easier trail for sure (and quieter). Once you get to the waterfall area, it gets fairly steep, so make you're you're wearing shoes that have good traction for climbing. Once you're up there, there's a nice little area off to the left where you can sit on a few logs and enjoy the scenery/atmosphere. What I was surprised about was that you can actually go and climb all the way right into the waterfall if you want to, it's not fenced off or anything. The actual waterfall itself is absolutely incredible. It's a massive waterfall that cascades into a pattern over several layers of a rock cliff, and it's well worth the 1 hour drive from the lower mainland out to chilliwack. I'm definitely coming back here soon.
