We recently visited Bridal Falls Waterpark hoping to support a local business, but the experience was shocking and unacceptable. The tube slide is still closed, yet patrons are charged full admission. The website claimed all body slides were open, which was the main reason we went. When we arrived, my children lined up for the body slides only for me to notice there was no water running. I asked a lifeguard, and he casually said they were still doing repairs and waiting for them to set, which would take at least 30 minutes. That 30 minutes quietly turned into over 2.5 hours without any announcement over the PA system or notification to guests.

Opening times for the body slides kept changing constantly. Guests were asking lifeguards every few minutes for updates, but the staff were evasive and unhelpful. Management in the office was rude, dismissive, and unapologetic about the delays. No announcements were made to inform anyone about the situation.

The lifeguards were completely unprofessional. They allowed people to linger and sit in front of the body slides, even occupying platforms marked “Lifeguard Only.” The fundamental rule of clearing the pool as soon as people exit the slides was ignored. One child accidentally splashed a lifeguard while exiting the water, and the lifeguard yelled at the child. These lifeguards behave like a mean-girls or mean-boys gang rather than professionals. They should be fired immediately and replaced with mature lifeguards who understand their responsibility to keep guests safe.

Why are repairs being done while the park is open? Considering the serious injuries that happened on the tube slide last year, this raises severe concerns about the park’s overall safety practices. Charging full price when most attractions are unavailable is unacceptable. The ongoing repairs during operating hours are a blatant safety hazard, and Technical Safety BC should flag this immediately. The park needs more inspections and stricter oversight.

While my children waited at the top of the hill for the body slides, no lifeguard was present to tell them the slides were closed. I had to personally tell a lifeguard to go up and notify the kids. This is a dangerous oversight. What if a child had gone down a slide under repair? Unsupervised slides are an accident waiting to happen.

Many families, including ours, drive out here every year with the intention of supporting a local business. After the horrific accident last year in which people were seriously injured, we were hesitant but gave the park the benefit of the doubt. That trust has been completely undermined by this visit. The combination of ongoing repairs during park hours, unprofessional and inattentive staff, misleading advertising, and rude management makes this park unsafe and unreliable.

Management needs to take immediate action. Lifeguards must understand that their job is to protect guests, not socialize or act like they are above the rules. Until serious safety and staffing issues are addressed, I cannot recommend this park to anyone. Cultus Lake offers a far superior experience and much better value for the price....

My daughters and I spent the afternoon at Bridal Falls Waterpark for the first time this past Thursday, August 8, 2019. The 3 PM to close admission price is reasonable for the entertainment provided. We were having a great time. Everyone was enjoying themselves until I decided that I had enough and went back to the spot where we left our towels, t-shirts and sandals. That’s when I discovered someone had taken my youngest daughter’s “One Piece” anime bath towel (see the picture below – this isn’t a likeness of the towel that was stolen but of the Japanese anime show – her towel was black). We left our things in the shade under a tree near the path on the south-east side of the park, below where the park has a number of covered pick-nick tables that can be rented. All of those table were occupied when we put our things down, they were all empty when I came back to dry off (about 70 minutes after we put our stuff there). I mention this because the thief was likely someone sitting in those tables because my daughter put her towel under all of our other things, so someone must have been watching when put the stuff there; it is that of someone there is a real predator and what her from her arrival to where we put our things. The latter is just way too creepy and an even larger indictment of how little our society has progressed or, more likely, how much it has regressed. My daughter was very upset when she found out; the towel was a gift from her uncle in Japan. The rest of her day was ruined. To the thief, I say “you’ve got some real problems and you are certainly collecting all the negative Karma you deserve”. I assume it was some kid that hasn’t learned enough positive life lessons (if so, I suspect the parents are either willfully ignorant or culpable). I hope it is that because if it was an adult then I’m quite concerned about the state of our society. Really, stealing a thinning anime towel of little or no real value except for the significant sentimental value it has to it’s rightful owner, simply because it was easy to do or did you really need it that badly. It seems pretty obvious that our society really hasn’t progressed very much in the last 100 years or so. It seems society keeps getting dragged down by the lowest common denominator and, unfortunately, our lowest common denominator is pretty frickin’ low. I know there are some amazing people out there, you see examples of it everyday, but it the dark, ugly side of humanity seems to be growing over the past few years. I hope it is only temporary. I checked in with the Waterpark’s office a couple times before we returned home to see if the thief or the thief’s parents had a guilty conscience and return the towel to the office under the guise that “they found it”. But no such luck. For us, I doubt if we will ever return to use the Bridal Falls Waterpark. However, if you are planning to use the park, I strongly suggest that you lock everything up or keep a body guard with your belongings at all times, no matter what you think...

Went to Bridal Falls Waterpark and had a great time, went midweek in August and wasn't too busy on a very hot day. Had a great time, staff was friendly when you ask them something but could have been more engaging when you're waiting in line. They seemed much more interested chatting with themselves, sometimes three or four staff members and none of them took the time to acknowledge any of the visitors in the lineup. Like literally the whole day going up and down the slides I don't really remember any staff member engaging with anyone in the lineup and whatever they were talking about was certainly not work related. They paid little or no attention to the kids in the lineup other than letting you know when you could go down. I've been to other water parks and the staff completely focus on the kids in the lineup engaging with them and making your water park experience so much better... speaking of lineups there wasn't much of a line up for anything which was fantastic. Food options are super limited, if you're planning on going do yourself a favor and bring your own!!! seriously bring your own food don't count on their concession being open or serving anything of good quality. Was very very very disappointed with the food. They allow you to bring in your own food take advantage of that! We thought we just buy it there. Their food concession didn't open till after 12:30. When I spoke to a staff member about opening the concession why there is no food options or anything open she informed me that they were privately-run / contracted out (Wildcat Grill) and that they have a pretty loose schedule of when they serve food. The quality of food, well I just expected better for my 20 bucks. And $3 for a bottle of water, I don't mind paying a little bit extra but come on. I get it it's just a concession, but even so you can do better Bridal Falls Waterpark seriously you can do way better the bar is set pretty low here. In Aldergrove BC they have a new water park (highly recommended and worth checking out) and they have a white spot food truck in the water park. now I know I sound pretty negative in this review but we had a great time had lots of fun it's a great water park especially for young kids. I still ...

I went to Bridal Falls Waterpark on Monday, July 6 from 12pm til closing at 6pm with my brother who is 39, and his three kids who are 6, 8 and 10. It was cloudy and around 20 degrees out but not raining. This was our first time here. We go to Cultus Lake Waterpark every summer but they are not open yet so we tried this place. We tried every single water slide in the park plus the hot tub. We all agree that the river rapid ride was the most fun. The kids rode it about 40 times. There were some minor incidents of getting jammed and flipped but it all added to the excitement of the ride. I did get a sore neck from the ride so I switched from riding to taking pictures. The park is small enough that you can easily keep track of your group but big enough to keep the kids entertained for a whole day. There were basically no line ups but that could be because of Covid or the weather or the fact that it was a Monday. The hot tub is spacious and a good temperature. There are covered picnic tables and a concession. We ordered burgers, fries and poutine which all were really good for concession food. $10 for a burger and fries. The lifeguards did their job well but were not overly strict. One girl in particular would get right into the river rapid ride and push the riders to get them unstuck. She really went above and beyond. We had an awesome day and would totally go back. The only recommendations I have would be to lower the price a bit (it’s $29 per person or $12 just to watch). Also, there is a lot of gravel and dirt in the hot tub which could be cleaned out. Isaac says, “I think those are some of the most fun water slides I’ve ever been on.” Emma says, “I agree.” Ocea says, “It’s a good place to play.” Their dad says, “Nothing beats sliding down that hill (river rapid ride).”
