Read moreThis was a very nice hike. Do not let the first 1/4 or so lull you into a false sense of ease. It soon starts to rise, and is strewn with rocks and roots. Not that its impassable, but it does get steeper. The metal bridge is about the halfway point, and it is in very good shape. The trail is a pretty good climb for at least 1/2 of the way, then begins to level out, of course, towards the lake. Weather was great, and warm. The lake is quite picturesque, and someone was actually there with a paddleboard she inflated once she got there. Several camping platforms (8?) and a latrine are there for campers.
