## Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park: Breathtaking Scenery with Rustic Charm Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park, nestled in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, offers a stunning wilderness experience. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure or a peaceful escape, the park has something for everyone. Here's a breakdown of the park's highlights and considerations: **Stunning Scenery:** - The park's crown jewel is the 10km long Chilliwack Lake, renowned for its turquoise waters and majestic mountain backdrop. - Reviews rave about the natural beauty, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and photographers. **Outdoor Activities:** - Camping: The park offers five campgrounds catering to different preferences. Paleface Loop is closest to the lake and ideal for families, while Greendrop offers more privacy. Be aware, campsites can fill up quickly, so booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak season. - Boating: Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, or motorized boating on the lake. There's a boat launch for easy access. - Fishing: The lake boasts a healthy fish population, making it a popular spot for anglers. - Hiking: Explore various trails ranging from easy walks to challenging hikes with stunning viewpoints. The Lindeman Lake Trail is a popular option. **Things to Consider:** - Rustic Setting: This is a no-frills park. While there are basic amenities like toilets and picnic tables, there are no showers, laundry facilities, or stores within the park. Pack accordingly and be prepared for a back-to-nature experience. - Limited Cell Service: Cell reception can be spotty or nonexistent, so enjoy the digital detox! - Cold Water: The lake water is glacier-fed and very cold year-round, not ideal for swimming. **Overall:** Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park is a perfect destination for those who appreciate stunning scenery and outdoor recreation. The rustic charm, diverse activities, and breathtaking beauty make it a worthwhile adventure. **Here are some additional tips:** * Bring a filled water container as potable water availability may be limited. * Pack for variable weather conditions, as mountain weather can change quickly. * Be prepared for potential wildlife encounters and follow park guidelines for responsible wildlife viewing. I hope this review helps you decide if Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park is the perfect escape for you!

Wonderful place to have a great time with your friends and family. On weekends I highly suggest arriving by 08:30 am so that it gives you an opportunity to find your great spot. There is parking available and washroom facilities at the side of the parking lot as well. The water is crisp clear and the view as always is breathtaking. There is a huge area for people to come and park their camper to stay overnight and a ramp for driving right to the lake and launch your boat. BBQs are allowed but no campfire for safety reasons. There aren’t any garbage bins at the lake so bring some garbage bags which you can dump in the bins located at the parking lot. !!! There is no reception so make sure to communicate with family and friends prior arriving to this location with the correct address and all other infos. It is definitely worth the drive :-)

So incredibly beautiful. If you follow the missing 411 and are terrified by the idea, well there are a lot of boulders and huckleberries here. Not to mention a few too many people going missing under very odd circumstances. Some just never show up again. Bodies just disappear and never surface. So, I was very scared about this place when we arrived. I saw these massive boulders everywhere and despite all the fears in my head, I had a wonderful time sleeping in a tent. I never would have gone because of the many YouTube videos I've seen on the 411. But family invited us up. So I went. It was great to go. Nothing bad happened. I used to love camping and now I feel like maybe I will do it again. Before this trip I was never planning on camping, ever, ever, EVER AGAIN! Anyways, the extreme beauty of this spot was so beyond words.

We go for an annual camping trip here. I know many would give fewer stars do to less amenities being provided, but I believe that’s part of the charm! Pit toilets and water are available but there is no showers, or anything like that (but who needs them when you can swim in the wonderful lake). If you want quiet the radium or flora loops are for you, want a family vibe, then go to greendrop. Lots of room on the beach, and they have a great dog beach for those who like camping with their furry friends. A long road up with no cell service allows you to relax and unwind before you get there (so hopefully you don’t fight while setting up camp— this is nice for the rest of us who like to set up and camp in peace)

Amazing lake and park. Stunning views, calm and peaceful. Excellent camp grounds, clean and quiet. Great place to spent with friends and family. This lake has a long sandy beach. Water is clear, obviously cold but it gets better during day time in summers. Great place to have fun in water during summer time. During summers it would be a busy spot. Multitude of trails within walking distance to campsite leading to local lakes. There is a forest service road available if someone willing to have some hands on to their machines. No reception so make sure to communicate to knows prior arriving to this place. Worth the drive. Highly recommended!!!
