This is a challenging hike up a hill. Totally doable by most but it will leave you out of breath a lot. Having said that, it was rewarding physically. Also the views from the top were spectacular. We took the entrance on Bridgeman road off Chamberlain road. We took the yellow trail up to the first entrance to the green trail. This green trail is a series of steps that are steep at times but do zig zag making it possible to stop for much deserved breath of air. You come up to the first of 2 amazing viewpoints. The hike up to the second viewpoint is again challenging but with the added bonus that now you're tired and no more nice steps. It's a short one however. On the way back, we took the other way around off the green trail. Oh my. This is a very steep one set of stairs that shoots down. I am glad we didn't choose this as our way to the top. Then you come on to the yellow trail again, it is a bit upwards at the beginning, but by now you feel like superman. All in all very good for the view and...

Soames Hill has a great trail map at each parking lot the two main parking areas can have upto 8 vehicles depending on how they are parked. The are couple of circular routes around the base of the hill and two steep stair climbs the shorter climb has around 180 stairs with passing places. The longer route has around 240 stairs either route is steady going and takes you to the the awesome lookout point viewing accross to Keats and Bowen islands . The hill has plenty of Tree shade at the top and makes a great place to picnic on the bar rocks. One of our favorite places to bring...

I visited this hill while on a short visit to Gibsons. There are three or four small parking lots scattered around the park. The lower trails are level, easy, and well-marked. The park is dog friendly. Once you get to the actual hill, the trail has sturdy concrete/gravel stairs that can be quite steep. It will take say ten-fifteen minutes for a healthy adult to climb the stairs to the top. At the top there are excellent views of the islands and sea surrounding Gibsons. It is well worth the...

Beautiful!! A gem right by Gibsons. Some flat trails through the park take you to the summit from different directions. Trail to the top is basically a long staircase up and through the woods so be prepared to sweat! But getting back down is a breeze. At the summit: fantastic views of Gibsons Landing and surrounding islands and mountains, but be careful! Some steep, unforgiving cliffs with no rails or barriers. Watch your footing. No toilets. Great place to bring a light lunch.

This was my second time visiting Soames Hill Park, and it was just as rewarding as the first! The stairs on the trail make the climb a bit challenging, but it’s not too long to manage. Once you reach the top, the effort feels completely worth it—you forget about the climb entirely. The view from the top is breathtaking, and it’s the perfect spot to sit for at least half an hour, soaking in the stunning colors and the masterpiece of nature.

Short hike to two amazing lookout points. It would be a great place to have a fancy nature adventure. It's also super close to Persephone Brewing. So go get a beer after you tackle the Soames hill. The greatest thing that really impresses me is Gibsons’s commitment to healthy living and environmental sustainability. That is Gibson's treasure. @ Sunshine Coast, Gibsons, BC
