I recently had the pleasure of visiting Persephone Brewing Company on the Sunshine Coast, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience there. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, and they made me feel right at home.
But of course, the real star of the show at Persephone Brewing Company is the beer. They have an incredible selection of craft beers on tap, each one more delicious than the last. I particularly enjoyed their IPA, which had a perfect balance of hops and malt, and their saison, which was light and refreshing.
But it's not just the beer that's great at Persephone Brewing Company - the food is also top-notch. They have a great menu of locally-sourced, organic food that pairs perfectly with their beers. I highly recommend trying their charcuterie board, which features a selection of cured meats, cheeses, and pickles.
The atmosphere at Persephone Brewing Company is also worth mentioning. It's a beautiful space, with a large outdoor patio area and plenty of seating inside as well. They often have live music and other events, which adds to the lively and fun vibe of the place.
Overall, I would highly recommend Persephone Brewing Company to anyone looking for a great craft beer experience. The beer is fantastic, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always polite and attentive. If you're on the Sunshine Coast, be sure to...
Read moreVisited on Thurs and all of us left pretty disappointed by our experience. I was with my parents who had previously visited Persephone's and loved it so they wanted my brother and I who were visiting from TO to check it as well. Previously when they visited there was no food available so their server told them they could bring outside food in. When we were planning our visit my parents remembered this detail and also double checked their website to see if anything had clearly changed (i.e. a clear food menu was available). Anyway we got there, ordered drinks and even double checked their QR code for food before unpacking our charcuterie type food at the picnic table. Then someone working came up and said very sarcastically "I didn't realize this was a picnic spot" "you don't usually bring food to a restaurant." Of course we explained we didn't realize they were offering a food menu so offered to pack things up. Anyway the server (or other staff not sure?) said something along the lines of "it's too late now" and walked off. Of course we packed up our stuff anyway and didn't stay much longer. My dad/brother still ended up buying lots of beer inside before we left and said the servers inside were very nice but our interaction outside definitely didn't leave a good or...
Read moreGreat first stop on the Sunshine Coast!
After a tough ferry wait on Sunday, we made Persephone our first stop on the Sunshine Coast. It was a beautiful day and despite a big crowd at Persephone we were able to find a shaded picnic table for five. We grabbed drinks and put in a food order. Kelly was lovely and helped with our choices. We appreciated her patience with our indecisiveness!
The Octoberfest draft and the Not-toberfest (cask) were both great brews and our friends enjoyed the hopped cider and the seltzers.
A local musician, Sean Peters, was playing a great variety of music. Especially loved hearing some John Prine and talking with Sean in between sets!
They offer a nice variety of pub fare. There is something for a variety of tastes and diet needs. We enjoyed the pretzel w/ beer cheese, smash burgers, hummus platter, fried chicken w/ spicy maple syrup and poutine and the chicken-poutine bowl. All were tasty and well prepared.
PostScript - we were early for our ferry home so stopped again for a quick drink. Imagine our surprise to have Kelly welcome us back by name! We enjoyed a sampling of different ciders along with a very enjoyable IPA. Another fun stop.
Looking forward to our next visit to the...
