Sprockids has a wide range of Trails ideally for mountain bikes and pedestrians you can walk around through twisty windy trails .up and down the side of Mount Elphinstone, there's lots of streams and the intersections with other paths. You can see lots of Trail markers and map posts, but with the number of trails you have to keep mindful of where you are on the mountain or your trip might be more than anticipated. The forest is tall with new and old growth trees providing shade from the sun and rain depending on the day. Read moreIt's a total maze, and a lot of the maps are inaccurate. I was checking trailforks every junction and was still lost about 90% of the time. The trails that are maintained are great, but I think I took a wrong turn somewhere, seemed pretty easy to do, and ended up carrying my bike a little. The uphills can be a little nasty, not good for beginners, even the greens.
Definitely not good for young kids or total beginners. Was going to take my gf around here, but glad I scouted it out first. Sounded like a beginner's dream, and I was struggling...
