This is totally one of the best places near cultus lake to bring family. This area is child friendly and is perfect for families. BENCHES: There are countless benches near and far from the water and beach area. Depending on where you would like to set up. LAKE: There is an area for diving if some people enjoy that. There is a sectioned off area perfect for younger children and makes it easier for parental supervision. GEESE: We encountered many Geese. In the morning, they mostly minded their own business in the water. By afternoon, they ditched the water and came closer to people probably since most people were eating lunch at the time. Make sure that children are supervised especially while Geese are around. BATHROOMS: There is a bathroom in this area. They include changing rooms but no showers. For the most part they were clean. Sometimes soap refills and toilet paper was missing, but there were more than enough stalls. Which means there were no lines. PLAYGROUND: There is also a playground near the bathrooms. ( Two pictures are attached of the playground ). Although it’s a small playground, it gives children another option during their time here. RESTRICTIONS: We went during July 2021 so there weren’t many restrictions. BBQs were allowed. Nobody wore masks, but social distancing was implemented. BOATS: There were a couple boats that were around the lake but they all kept their distance from swimmers. The Jade Launch Bay is very close by to this area which is why you may see a couple boats go by. Overall, I find this area more ideal for families and would very much recommend.

I was there this weekend and the washrooms were absolutely disgusting including a pile of human feces on the floor in one of the bathroom stalls. It is quite obvious that the park operators do not maintain the area to even basic standards. The picnic areas and most of the grass areas were unusable without constantly stepping in goose poop as the geese have been left to take over so pretty much all the grounds are covered with geese poop. The swimming area is also extremely dangerous for swimmers as boats and jet skis are constantly driving through the swimming area and using the swimming beach as a illegal boat beach and the the park operaters as well as RCMP refuse to do anything about it.

A fun day at the lake at the end of May, a little over an hour from downtown Vancouver. Still a little too cold to spend much time in the water, but floating around in a donut was great. Excellent facilities as well as grass and sandy areas. We took a portable bbq down and had a nice picnic with a big group of friends. Will definitely try and return when it's a bit warmer.

Cultus Lake Provincial Park Picnic Area is an absolute gem, earning a perfect 5-star rating from me. The Cultus Lake Provincial Park Picnic Area offers everything you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor getaway. The location is stunning, with calm waters perfect for picnicking and swimming. We even saw some fish swimming around, adding to the natural beauty of the area.
