Teapot Hill Trailhead is a fun little out-and-back trail near Cultus Lake. It is a family friendly trail and although it has a bit of elevation gain, it is easily do-able for families with young children.
There is a parking lot located right at the start of the trail. However, parking spaces are limited to around 10 vehicles.
It is an uphill trek and there are some narrow areas which require single line filing to pass through. You can start seeing teapots before you reach the teapot hill sign; however, there are plenty more to keep a look out for after you reach the sign. Lots of signage all around, so you’re unlikely to get lost on the trail.
It’ll be really fun for kids and adults alike to count all the teapots and tea cups left in the forest as you go through the trailhead. The view at the end was not great as it was mainly obstructed by tall trees, but you can see a bit of cultus lake below.
Be on the look out for beautiful white trilliums growing in the forest, but be careful as to not pick them because it can injure the plant and they take years to grow.
Overall, it’s a great hike and you’ll likely spend 1-2 hours hiking and taking photos of all the different teacups and teapots on...
Read moreI’ve hiked the Teapot Heel Trail several times now, and it never disappoints. The full hike (up and down) takes about 40 minutes, with the first half being a bit more challenging than the second — a great workout with a rewarding view.
I highly recommend going in a group, as there’s a chance of encountering wildlife, especially during the quieter seasons. In the summer, the trail tends to be busier, which usually keeps the animals away.
One of the unique traditions here is bringing a teapot with you and leaving it behind — a charming way to be part of the trail’s legacy.
The trail is always clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for by the community. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot that I’ll keep...
Read moreI googled where to walk in Chilliwack and Teapot Hill came up. It is 15 minutes out of town by Cultus Lake. It was easy to find and there is a small parking lot there. The first 8 - 10 minutes is quite a steep climb but it does level out a bit after that and that is when the teapots also start appearing. It is a fairly wide Forrest trail with dense ferns and moss covered trees everywhere and teapots, mugs, cups etc. we didn’t make it to the top but did like the...
