My partner, a friend and I walked by the museum on a weekend when it was unfortunately closed, and knew we had to return on a weekday. I’m so happy we did. This museum is unique in that it felt that the displays and historians had stories- not just about the ongoing of the town but of the human aspect. Everything was fun to look at and I really enjoyed speaking to the friendly people who run the museum who talked about people in history as if they were old friends. Really loved the experience and would highly recommend stopping here if you love history and those passionate about it. What can I say- I

We visited during the week while we were staying locally and were very glad we did! Peter gave us a lovely greeting and amazing introduction, and then left us to explore the local history exhibits by ourselves. At the end he was very happy to answer our questions and point us in the direction of further points of interest.

The exhibits themselves cover a wide range of local interest but definitely allow you to easily visualise how things would have been!

This museum definitely needs more recognition and support than it is currently recieving!

10/10 - visit...

Was vacationing in Lac Le Jeune this past summer and we decided to take a trip to Logan Lake and Ashcroft to take a look around. This little gem of a museum was one of the best parts of our trip. For such a small town they have historical items and documentation other much larger cities don't even come close to matching. If you get a chance and are near Ashcroft (so Kamloops area) take a trip and check out the town and more importantly, this museum. Good for adults and our 3 kids all had fun as well (and things for them to do in the...

Can't say enough positive things about our experience here. Clean, organized, and well put together exhibits on local history. The museum was engaging but what made the whole experience incredible was Peter who gave a tour of the whole museum as well as shared the history of Ashcroft with us. His knowledge and passion shone through. I've been to many museums but this one is the best

This is an extraordinarily well done little museum for a tiny snapshot of a short period of the town's history. The small rooms are very nice laid out, with lots of great signage. Also has a short display for some of the movies filmed nearby (unexpected, but neat). Admission by donation. Highly recommend the stop if driving by!
