Great renovated park, nice playground, yet bad experience:
We came to visit on July 1st and were the first two cars to show up.
The parking meter did not work, was dark and was not responding to anything, bylaw phone number on it was advising that it is a holiday, so we went to the beach and had some fun with the kids. We both got parking violation tickets 100$ each. We did send a dispute and I got a voicemail on Saturday that my case was investigated and the meter was found working. Whatever. There were some grilles installed but locked with chains so we took our own small grille and right after getting some meat on it were told that we cannot use our own grille (??) on a dedicated grille area (??) and we will be ticketed… great! The area is there… but no - do not use it! Or you will be fined! Why would you want to use a grille in the grille area at a park on a holiday??! Whatever.

No clear signs where you may park or not, it will depend on opinion of Parking Officer. Some people park with no issues and on another day exactly for the same place you will get ticket. No clear marking where is official parking spots and where is not.
Many mosquito, even during day.
Lake beach are small with many rocks in it.
We notices that park is not cleaning properly, beach area especially. Because it downhill beach area all those poops washing with rain into water directly.
Beach area full of goose poops. ALOT.
This park full of kids during day camp time. Very busy. Access to the water, playground , washrooms is limited, extremely. During puck up, drop off cars almost full block the road accessing the park, for me it looks like extremely unsafe.

Read moreIf you're looking for a peaceful spot to unwind, Tyndale Beach in Barrie is a great choice. Nestled along the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, this small but charming beach offers a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We went there after attending the Kempfest in August, beach itself 2-/ clean and well-maintained, with soft sand that's perfect for lounging. One of the things I really appreciate about Tyndale Beach is the natural setting. Surrounded by trees and with a scenic view of the bay, it's easy to feel connected to nature here. While the beach isn't huge, it never feels overly crowded, even on weekends. On the downside, there aren't a lot of amenities like food vendors or shops, so be sure to bring everything you need...
