Don’t waste your time and energy on this hike. The waterfall next to the parking lot is beautiful and worth your time. We hiked an almost-10k round trip up 390m elevation to see a waterfall that was just rocks with a trickle of water. The trail continues past “bummer falls” and is very narrow and crumbly. It has not been maintained back there. There was a significant amount of moose poop directly on the trail that made us nervous about continuing but we hoped that we would get to the real second water fall
we ended up at a red chair looking off the mountain. It was overgrown and the view wasn’t even that special. You could get the same view from a road lookout spot.

Beautiful trail. The markings on the trail are not the best. There were signs for 1/3/4km. (4km) Once you start to ascend the ridge (after the waterfall) you will see a nice red muskoka chair with a beautiful view, you can go further down the trail on to the other side of the ridge. On the other side the trail gets smaller and smaller. At one point you will reach a post in the ground, it once had a sign but now it’s gone. We made the assumption that it was the end of the trail. We started out on the trail at 4pm and we’re back around 640pm. We also saw a moose and plenty of signs of moose activity. Happy hiking :)

I cannot leave a good review bc i could not see anything at the top due to the fog, do not do it on rainy days😂😂, and i felt like i was surrounded by hundreds of mosquitoes and black flies for the entire trail. Wanted to wait for the fog to clear up at the top but ran into a black bear, so I had to turn back. The second waterfall was not impressive either, the one near the parking is much better. The trail is 9.6km return trip, it is steady incline to the second waterfall, some tree roots and loose rocks. Then it gets a little harder and much narrower to hike to the top.
