Mostly it was a great experience. It was magical. One thing that bothered me was one of the workers having a power trip. I got to one of the displays and there was a big crowd. This lady approached me and asked English or French, and I said French. She was a tad intense and proceeded to tell me something that went over my head. As I am a short person, I saw a spot next to the crowd where I could see the display in front of me. So I went there and started to record with my phone. An inch closer and I was touching the person next to me. The same lady comes up to me and taps me on the shoulder, and asks me again, French or English. I said, yes mam you've already talked to me. Then she says there's a lot of people here, I can't remember who I talk to and you need to get back on the path. I was taken aback a little because it's not like I was wandering in the woods. I was literally standing right next to the crowd. Also it wasn't clear that I wasn't on the "path" anymore. It just seemed very unnecessary. It almost ruined the experience. Also not everyone likes to be approached that way. Consider that some people are just there to enjoy the ambiance. You should let the paying customers approach you instead of being so aggressive. (Just my two cents. Maybe other people feel differently.) She also approached me a third time as I was leaving. She was just a bit too much. Seemed like she thrives on telling people what to do. Otherwise, it was very impressive and I would love to experience it again, minus this lady. That's why I'm not...
Read moreAmazing production. It was better than the pictures on the website. It wasn't overcrowded because they do a good job managing the flow of people at the start. The area at the end with live music, food, and seating with a bonfire is very welcoming too. Ambient music in the woods kept the mood without being obnoxious. The projection theater was a delight. Highly recommended. *However, 1 star off this great event. Our friends arrived, parked in the gravel lot and were asked to move their car closer to the next car by the parking security guy. They moved closer but not so close that they would get dinged by another door. The parking security went ballistic. Cursing, waving his arms all over, following them and berating them in the parking lot. It was a very...
Read moreI had high hopes for this as it cost $37.37 per ticket. It was overpriced (plain & simple). I was expecting to learn something about Acadian history, but I learned nothing (almost everything in French only). I know art is open to interpretation, but I had no idea what was going on the entire time I was there. It was raining and we were not allowed to use an umbrella (prohibited). Unfortunately for me I wasn’t paying attention when we were walking past the ticket booth, they were selling ponchos for two dollars each. Finding out about it later, I thought it might’ve been a nice gesture to give one to everyone that spent a pretty penny to be there in the rain. I can think of many ways to spend $37 per person to be entertained, I wouldn’t recommend this as one...
