Supposing to be the featured park of this city, it is instead highly lackluster. In it you can find a pointless waste of taxpayer money that is its new sculpture park; a mucky, swampy pond encircled by pathways of duck excrement; splash pads and water fountains that barely operate; and new paddleboats that are somehow even more uncomfortable than the older ones. The playground is its best point (and if you're into baseball, it has a few nice diamonds). And in the wintertime I would say it's worthwhile solely for the sake of the sledding hill. The play structures are great for older kids but for the little ones I feel like they could install another "classic" play structure with slides and tubes. Space is certainly not an issue. Splash pad is nice but entirely shaded. Would have been great to have only the seating area shaded. The pond in the park is great when paddle boats can be used (closed for now due to covid). The paddle boat pond is small, but just enough must days.
The playground part is modern and well taken care of.
There are public bathrooms - they could use a renovation and a new water bottle fountain (esp in covid times) but it's functional and good enough for now.
Lovely place for a picnic or just a laze about the park.
Oh! And lots of Canada geese and some ducks are...
