Went to this museum on June 4. The original builder , John McBurney, is related to me. So this initially spurred my interest, but that fact was a small part of this heritage museum. It was a full and very interesting visit. From it's geological history, to the birth of the Dionne quintuplets, to an overview of Callander history. Visiting this small town was indeed a delight If you are vacationing in this area, or driving past, make a point to take a short detour off the highway, and be prepared to take a history lesson , as well as enjoy this town Informative staff, ready to answer question and guide you through the exhibits and scheduled events. I now live in Vancouver, but when I return to Ontario to visit relatives, I will venture to this area again and absorb some more hidden history of family...
