Located at Cavendish National Park, the Homestead Trail and a bunch of other trails are prefect for hiking and biking. The Homestead Trail is a 10km (6.6 miles) loop trail taking you along fields with beautiful wild flowers, waterways and wooded areas of the national park. The trails are well maintained with great trail markers and signage. There are picnic tables at various places. Entry fee to the Cavendish National Park for day visit is $7,25CAD per person. There is campsites but at higher rate. Definitely a must visit place on the island.

This is a great 6k or 11k walk or bike ride, depending on what trails you want to take. Feels very isolated but you are never far from roads. Awesome for snowshoeing!

Easy - moderate hike with great views of the water. Not much to see in the farmlands area, maybe better in the summer. You can either choose to do 6km or 10km loop.

Pros: Saw a beautiful butterfly. View of the ocean and estuary was nice once we got to it. Trail is mostly in the shade.

Cons: The first mile of this trail is through scrubby woods, dense with mosquitoes. We counted ten bites before we got to the water. Bring bug spray. The crab apple trees had dropped fruit on the trail which attracted wasps. Most of the traffic on the trail is bicycles, which awkwardly passed the...

This is an easy trail, but one of the longer park trails. Worth it, mostly. After awhile fields and trees get boring, but the water front areas make it worth it. Saw a spine here...I'm guessing...
