During a recent visit to Como Lake Park in Coquitlam with my spouse and young son, we were captivated by the park’s serene beauty at sunset. The tranquil ambiance provided a perfect backdrop for several breathtaking photos, capturing the splendor of the moment.

The park was alive with activity; we observed individuals fishing, jogging, and walking their dogs along the one-kilometer lakeside loop trail. Families gathered around the playground, with children enjoying the various rides and play structures, while others relaxed on benches and engaging in conversation or simply soaking in the peaceful environment.

The sight of snow-capped mountains in the distance added to the park’s picturesque setting, enhancing the overall experience. We were pleased to find ample parking space, making our visit convenient and stress-free.

Como Lake Park offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and recreational amenities, making it an ideal destination for families and nature enthusiasts alike. We look forward to returning to explore more of what this charming park has to offer.

My younger one enjoyed playing with his remote controlled car. We also played table tennis on the fixed stone tables available in the park.

Must visit during the...

Dropped in to Como Lake to explore the lakes in our area. It’s a neat little area with a small walking trail around it that takes only 20 minutes to half an hour to walk around. There are docs on both sides with marked places for fishing. On occasion I have seen people floating around either on standup paddleboard‘s or on other inflatable‘s on the lake. It certainly is very calm because it is so small. There are small playground and picnic areas surrounding the lake which is located in a residential area. I saw lots of kids and families playing around the lake and it seem like a very neighbourhood centric atmosphere. So lucky to have this if you live in the...

Nice lake to walk around / jog. Almost half the loop around is through trees so it's partially shaded which is nice on a hot day. Benches are placed around the lake to relax at. It can be somewhat busy at times here in the evening but it's still relaxing. The lake is stocked with fish in spring and fall which attracts fishers. There's also a playground here for kids to play and some picnic tables to eat at. In fall the trees are stunning shades of orange and red, a must see!
