Nice, beautiful, short park trail accessible to everyone able to walk a block between two major streets. Maybe, after a wet couple of days, check with the friendly staff at the park entrance, if you have difficulty to jump half a meter over a tiny brook or two. The falls are worth the hike even if you are tired and would rather have a beer. They are not huge, but powerful (watch your kids at all times! - you can get as close as you want). Also, it is a great place to enjoy carpets of trillium flowers covering the forested slopes in May-June. Trillium being an emblem of Ontario, it might be a beautiful surprise for a city dweller in romantic mood. As is usual for Arrowhead Park, the trail is...

Nice scenic trail located in Arrowhead Provincial Park. It's a bit over 2 and a half kilometers long, so it's a relatively quick hike/walk. Our small group was able to finish it in about an hour and a half with children, and that included a long stop at the falls to rest and explore (you could likely do it solo or without kids in under an hour). The falls aren't huge, but they are still a nice view and are pretty cool to see. They are located slightly before the halfway point of the trail loop and have a path that leads down to the rocks alongside them. Its a fun hike, and I'd recommend giving it a go if...

We hiked this trail in December but so nice to see it in May. Great easy walking trail from Arrowhead Lake, alongside the Little East River to Stubb's Falls. This is a loop trail of about 3 km . You can go to the Falls and return the way you came or continue just another 1.2 km down the other side of the river valley back to where you started. Second half of the loop is narrower and just mildly more difficult...eg not difficult at all. At the falls, you can adventure down around to the bedrock alongside the middle of the white water and take a pic looking back....

A gentle, meandering trail through the woods that winds up at a bridge overlooking Stubb's Falls. Good old Stubby would have been proud of how his trail looks in the Fall. However, I think it looks even more stunning in the winter after a fresh snow fall. The trail on the southside of the river is fairly flat and accessible, but the trail on the northside of the river has a few more undulations. There is a steep staircase that descends to a bridge that allows you to cross over the river to the other side.
