So had a nice hike up Skyline Trail to the "Cut Chair" and zig zagged all over on the way down. Back into car with dog. Was texting daughter when the dog freaks out and a black bear is right in front of the car, looking at us. The dog figures he's found the biggest squirrel in the world, and wants to play. I manage to keep dog inside, close door and do up windows. As saunters away, eventually across road and into the bush. He was calm and remarkably silent. Walkers and hikers, put the phone away and keep eyes up around. BTW- if you've never been there; it sucks, don't go. Cheers.

Great hiking location for people on the Northshore for a quick day hike. It never disappoints. You always find a train in this area that matches your interest and physical readiness. It is one of my go-to hiking locations for a quick but intense hike.

Traffic free dog walkin’ trail. When the weather is good the views are great. Can be a bit busy during week with professional dog walkers and on weekend with hikers.

I had no idea what to expect, but this jungle blew me away! Every step revealed something new, from vibrant flowers to secret caves. We even encountered a small family of capybaras near a riverbank! The air was fresh, the trails were well-marked, and the entire experience was invigorating. I highly recommend doing the early morning hike when the jungle is most active with birds and wildlife. It’s an adventure you’ll...

A sun-exposed trail that extends from the east portion of the Grouse Mountain parking lot to an official ending at Braemar Place & unofficial ending in the 800 block East 29th Street. Many parks & connecting trails along the route lead North into Grouse Mountain Regional Park & the Mt. Fromme trail network. Trails South descend into North Vancouver residential areas. Commercial dog walking...
