The MOST BEAUTIFUL spot in the middle of the city. I am a nature nut and I literally go here to hug one of my favourite trees. Forget all your troubles, let the river take them away. Although there is many winding foot paths, not every path is safe for all travellers. Not to worry as they have very well groomed and even fence lined paths, safe for every age and your 4 legged companions too. This is a favourite spot to take the grandchildren and the dogs for a fabulous view of the river and a great afternoon. Maybe the odd splash in the river too.(Always exercise caution near body’s of water) Not a photograph or video can give it the justice it deserves. To really appreciate it, you have to experience it for yourself. The smells and even the temperature, you feel like you’re in another dimension. Around every turn, it feels like you have entered a movie scene from “The Lord Of The Rings”. This is a perfect spot for any fantasy lover. With the cool breeze and shade that shelters you from the sometimes blazing hot sun. The sites the textures of the landscape and its stillness are remarkable. It is in these moments of solitude that I forget, I’m in the middle of a bustling city. I encourage you to take a look at the video and all the photos I post, you won’t be disappointed. You will only be disappointed if you don’t go!...

I randomly found Patricia Ravine Trail and it was surprisingly beautiful! It's under 10 minutes away from WEM.
Upon initial arrival, it was a bit odd because you can see some very expensive houses on one side, contrasted by the overwhelming nature on the other side.
There are a lot of different trails you can take from arrival, and I had only gone down one of the paths that went toward the river. There was a cool firepit and some nice areas to hang out along the trail with some logs for sitting. You can also see the footbridge from the river too!
This was a bit before the flowers and trees have come back alive after winter but it was still really nice. I was able to capture the ice breaking and flowing down the river too! I definitely need to come back again when it's spring/summer!
Highly recommend for a nice hike, I would say it's a bit higher than some beginner trails because of some of the steep hills (like the initial hill leading...
Read moreAfter living in the area for almost 8 months, my dog and I finally decided to check out this trail. Not sure what to expect as we were very spoiled in our last community that was a block to a nature reserve, we were beyond being pleasantly surprised. Even better that it's an off leash trail! Paved trail well maintained/cleared. Some off pavement trails as well for those looking. Notable: those are not maintained but the traffic flow keeps them trampled, however, in the spring it makes for some icy/muddy areas. The ravine bridge in Wolf Willow (I believe it's labelled Wolf Willow ped bridge #213) area gives a beautiful view and alive with the...
