I visited this location today with my two young children for a birthday party. My children arrived wearing closed toed shoes as indicated in our booking (“ensure each participant is wearing closed toed shoes”) as I was not planning to participate, I wore sandals, as I have in the past. Upon arrival I was informed that I also needed closed toed shoes and that I could rent them. After explaining that I was not going to be participating, and I have worn sandals in the past, I was informed that the policy was that everyone had to wear closed toed shoes, so I respected the policy and rented shoes as instructed. Once we made our way back to the Treetop Village I noticed several people wearing sandals. So I went back to the main building to inquire why some patrons were allowed to wear sandals, while I was not. At this time there were three people behind the desk, but I posed my question anyway. No one really had an answer for me and after a bit of back and forth about the situation, one of the staff started yelling at me indicating that I needed to show some respect. At no point did I raise my voice or make any rude comments to anyone, so I asked how I was being disrespectful when I was just asking a question and in no way yelling. At this point I was just being ganged up on by the three staff members (one of whom was a manager), so I made my way back to my group completely flustered and on the verge of tears at how I was treated. During our stay, one member of our group was flipped off a picnic table as the bench was not secured on either side and ended up hurting himself on the rusted metal. As well, the washrooms were quite unclean (toilet paper everywhere, sanitary product wrappers on the floor and no soap) having not been cleaned since July 8th as per the tracking sheet on the door. I was very unimpressed with our visit today. Not only for the treatment I received, but also for the state of the facilities. I would be very cautious when bringing young children to this location.

The drive to this location feels "out in the middle of nowhere" but it was straight forward with lots of signs posted. Feels strange to drive in past the entrance, only to have to walk through a manicured path to return to the entrance by foot. We had booked our tickets the day before and did the waiver online which was super convenient. There was a small miscommunication over us waiting for a staff member to bring us to the treetop village, but it didn't cause a delay. We were the only ones at first, and enjoyed being able to check everything out at our kids' pace. My 4yr was hesitant at first to cross the rope bridges but soon was excited and fearless. My 7yr old had been to this same park for a school trip and enjoyed being back. The slides were fun, my boys loved the zipline-style swing, and ran through the obstacle course many times during our 90minute visit. We brought our own lunch in and sat at the provided picnic tables. The bathroom was close by. We didn't find the mosquitoes bad at all, though we had bug spray with us in case. For what we paid, it felt not worth it. Just an elevated playground in the end. We did not do any ziplines as that is an extra cost. I don't see us returning again as a family anytime soon, unless it's my kids attending for a school trip or party. Maybe the ziplining for adults would be a fun experience but it's not a top priority to return. I'd be interested to visit another location to see the differences in play structures and see if one is more exciting than this 1000 Island location.

This place is Great for the whole family. We booked online and filled out all the waivers with ease. When we arrived the staff was quick to get us geared up and ready to go. We had about 12 adults and teens and 2 kiddos who weren't able to go on the bigger courses. On the bigger courses you can level up at your own pace as your confidence increases. You can go fast or slow and the staff are around to give you tips on difficult parts. The zip-line at the end of each course is a thrill and there is even one where you drop from a platform. I'm a big guy and even that was able to accommodate me. One of my cousin's little girls around 8 years old was able to go on the little kids course where she had a blast! They have different courses with increasing level too. They too have zip lines. One of the girls was unable to qualify for the height to go on the little kids course but they do have a park for them too! Even though we bought her a ticket online for the little kids course the staff was good about it and they were ready to offer a refund. The little kids park had structures she could run in and out of and also some challenging climbing and balancing obstacles for her to do. Overall the price was good and the staff were very attentive and alert. We spent about $500 for the 15 of us.

Let me start by saying the attraction itself was amazing. It was very fun and cool and challenging and unlike anything I've done before. HOWEVER there were a lot of things I would change. The booking process was AWFUL. I called for tickets the minute they became available online (I had been very excited and waiting for a month to grab the tickets for a bday gift)I spoke to a rep for 15 mins, he says he's going to process my tickets and I'll get a confirmation e-mail. Perfect. Turns out 3 days pass and I didn't get anything so I call back. Second rep says oh sorry THAT GUY DIDN'T PROCESS IT and you're not in our system and now he's on vacation. (Thanks a lot for waiting my time and then just leaving on vacation without any notes on my order at all?!?) So I did it a second time. Second rep says it 100 PERCENT IS BOOKED. You will get a confirmation email. 2 days later. No confirmation. I call again. No answer. I call the following day and do the entire process all over again because I still wasn't in the system. It finally works. This annoys me a lot because what if I didn't check for this confirmation e-mail and just assumed it was booked the first them and then tried to call back and they were fully booked?! I booked time off work and planned this as a gift so it was extremely important I get those tickets and it was such a terrible and stressful process!! Anyway, the day finally comes. Myself and my spouse get there at 9:45 for the 10am adventure tour and zipline tour package. It takes an hour to get the gear on because there's only two people at the station. Which was very upsetting. There was at least 20 people waiting in line to get their gear on. We had a zipline tour at 1pm, because they said the adventure tour would be done by then. But because the strapping in and orientation took an hour and a half, WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO FINISH ALL THE COURSES!!! We pay full price but didn't get to do all of the courses because the set up took 1.5 hours?! I mean, wish someone could have said hey, maybe book your zipline tour at 2 pm because you might not finish but what did we know? Anyway the zipline tour guides were amazing and super fun. It did take a really long time. The group was so big that we found ourselves pretty bored most of the time, waiting and waiting until our turn. Maybe a smaller group of 4 or 5 would have been better than a group of 10. So at the end of the day, the attraction itself would get a 4. The way staff dealt with my order was a -100 stars and the line up and waits was a 1 star. I know this is a very new park and I don't mean to knock them on it. I am sure they are just getting into the swing of things and I hope they make some of those changes for...

I would have loved to drop a good review or a 5 star at the beginning of our day/activities but it ended badly for us. We visited this location 27 May 2023 and we (3 adults and 4 kids) ended up having a really bad day which was traumatizing. It started with a safety issue with my 9+ niece whom an instructor asked to untangle her harness, while she was listening to the guy someone yelled from another location that someone wasn’t properly geared and left unsafe. This created panic in my niece which caused for attention from the guiding adult and other members of the staff. The adult with her was trying to explain to the “Manager” that they created a state of confusion and panic for the girl and a teachable moment was lost cos they didn’t encourage the girl to learn from the incident. Also, the instructor who instructed her to untangle the harness without a guide or help around was no where to be found as he couldn’t corroborate the story of the adult present. This led to the “Manager” asking the adult to leave the premises. Then again, I was personally told that I couldn’t wear the harness to the parking lot to pick up drinks and snacks from the car as I needed to remove the harness and put it back afterwards, but to our surprise we saw other people going out to the car park with their harness while 3 staff looked on and were seated at the reception. We did call the attention of the staff and “Manager” to this discriminatory act and the whole incidence escalated which resulted in the “Manager” calling cops on us and guess what as expected they gaslighted and manipulated the whole incidence.

The “Manager” lied in her narrative to the cops which the cops admitted that it was a waste of time and resources to call them to such unfounded matter. The “Manager” and her power driven staff lacks the tenacity and capability to work in a multiracial environment. We never enjoyed the harassment and treatment given by the facility, this will go down memory lane even with the kids. I WILL ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM TREETOP TREKKING 1000 ISLANDS, if your skin...

I give this place a 3 because I was unable to complete it due to weather issues. I have visited 6 of the tree top trekking locations in Ontario, 1000 Islands being my 6th location. This location had been highly talked about by other tree top trekking locations that it would not disappoint but actually it was my most disappointing location yet. Why? This location is a 6 hour drive for me to get to. I stayed in a hotel because it is such an extension drive. When I got to 1000 islands the weather was great, about 1 1/2 hours into the ziplining/ariel courses it started to thunder so I had to get off the course which is completely understandable. The weather was calling for thunder the rest of the evening so it was shut down for the day. Glad it was because my safety comes first. Great call staff. They told me I can rebook so I did for the next day because the weather looked awesome. No rain in forecast and I was doing it 11am. I booked an extra hotel last minute because it's not a drive I want to do again if I can complete the courses now. I get through beginner, intermediate and the advanced courses, the staff make an announcement that the wind is a factor now. They said we will wait 30 min because the limit is 45km/mph, right now it's at 46 to see if the wind calms. As a trekker I was highly disappointed, I didn't feel the wind or unsafe. I understand there are guidelines they have to go by but to me that was unbelievable since I couldn't feel the high winds or the trees blowing at all. After 30 min wait they said it's not gonna get any better we're shutting down. To my utter disappointment I said nothing and left to drive home unimpressed with this location. I say all this to tell anyone driving a long distance to this location CHECK WIND AND RAIN before you go. With all that said, the staff were ok, the courses that I did were lovely and fun to do. They also have some fun riding obstacles like a horse and skateboard. Really cool!! The staff did say I can have my money back but I'm a season's pass holder so I don't think that would...
