Never go there... This beach is another money extortion system. Visit this beach if you want to pay anywhere between 50$ to 85$ for parking..!! They are very creative in getting this, one way or other out of your wallet..!!

  1. The parking spaces are limited (even these spaces cost you some 45$ per day) and the municipality security will recommend you to go to the nearest Resort some 200 mts away for parking. At the resort the parking is all cash. I suppose there is some tie up in sharing this parking collection.
  2. The patrons are pushed to this resort to such an extend that you can't even STOP infront of the beach to unload the things. The moment you stop, a guy with INFRACTION notice will come, give you a fine immediately. Even though your engine is still running, you are unloading things, the road is a 'Dead end' with no through traffic, still you will be rewarded with a 50$ fine. I dont think cities like Toronto and NYC charge you 50$ while unloading on a dead end road.
  3. Mobile stinking washrooms
  4. No changing place
  5. A very small place, limited place for kids to play..

The beach is so small not worth the pain.. Sibbalt point is a better beach just 10 mins drive away from this...

Edit: I got to try this beach out in the summer! This is my new favorite spot! Not busy at all, especially in off peak times. I love the sandbar that extends hundreds of meters, with very few rocks. The shallow water makes for warm water. Natural and beautiful. This is a great spot if you want to bring children, especially smaller children and want to avoid the crowds. Typical at beaches in Georgina. If you're looking for a lot of sand, don't come here.

Original: Beautiful! Not a beach for lying on the sand, but great grass area, a playground, scenic views, great for watching sunsets. I hear the water is great for kids - sandy and shallow. Looking forward to getting in the water...

Sandy beach with difficult entry to water due to soil erosion and the sharp rocky bottom for a few feet out into the water. After that clear, shallow, sandy bottom will stretch out about 350 meters before dropping over 6 feet. Small expensive parking lot across the road that fills up fast on the weekend (it is staffed for bi-law enforcement during daylight), with two public restrooms. There is a park with play structures if kids get tired of being in the water but no other amenities. Bring your own food and note that there is no cooking of any type allowed in Georgina Township Parks. Dogs are permitted only on a leash, and no smoking in the park - must go back to a marked area...

Holmes Point has a grassy shoreline, a tiny bit of rocks to step over then an amazing pure sand bottom that's 1-5 ft deep for about 150 metres out before it drops off. The best for kids and people wanting to play football or games in the water. No rocks=no zebra mussels to cut toes on. Very busy on weekends. Local residents can get a parking pass from the town otherwise you can pay at the pay and display machine. A must-see for sunsets.

I went here on wednesday with my friends and family. We did some swimming and barbque. The place is beautiful and a good spot to spend day. It is well maintained, water is clean and warm, good for swimming. It is more busy and crowded on weekend so if you like to keep it calm and peaceful go on weekdays. The park closes by 8 pm so make sure you come early and get enough time to have fun

Nice view of Lake Simcoe, The water depth level is too low to even stand on your feet almost halfway through the lake. Nice sandy area, and possible to bring kids. Parking and restrooms are available. However, there is no free parking here ($5 when this review is written, a cheaper rate may be available for a full/half day). Overall, a nice spot around Lake Simcoe to spend the weekend.
