Great place for outdoor skating. Nice indoor building to change into your skates with washroom facilities. The building also has a restaurant Red Table. The setting is wonderful, in Harwelak Park. It’s about a kilometre to make a lap around the artificial lake. I have skated here in the past and enjoyed it. Was here today to attend the Silver Skate Festival, that’s another review. I will definitely return and recommend this location for a great outdoor skate.

In the spring and summer, it's a pretty nice place to have a picnic or barbecue. Lots of geese hang around the area though so just watch where you walk and sit. In the fall, the leaves turn into into the autumn spectrum and it looks amazing. Nice paths to walk down there, especially southwesterly across the bridge that crosses the river towards the Valley Zoo. Winter is when the Ice Castles and ice rink comes in and the rink is usually well maintained.

One of the best parks in the Edmonton area. They host great events all year round such as Fise and the ice castle. There is boat rentals in the summer and skate rentals in the winter for $10. Perfect place to check out over the weekend. There is reservations available for picnic areas as well as first come first serve bonfire areas throughout.

Probably the biggest outdoor skating rink in Edmonton. It's really nice to skate around and feel connected to the nature around you. There is a snack bar on the edge of the pond that also offers skate rentals, sharpening, and washrooms. The ice itself is decent but you must look out for cracks while skating or you'll trip. No hockey sticks are allowed on the pond but there is a shinny area not too far...
