Eugenia Falls in Ontario is a breathtaking natural wonder that offers a perfect escape into nature. Located in the heart of Grey County, this stunning waterfall plunges 30 meters into the Cuckoo Valley, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The area around the falls is beautifully maintained, with well-marked trails that are ideal for hiking and exploring. The views from various lookout points are simply spectacular, especially during the fall when the surrounding foliage bursts into vibrant colors. Eugenia Falls is also rich in history, with informative plaques detailing the area's past, including its brief gold rush period. The peaceful atmosphere and the sound of cascading water make it a great spot for relaxation and contemplation. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a history buff, or simply looking to enjoy some picturesque scenery, Eugenia Falls is a must-visit destination in Ontario. It offers a serene and enriching experience that’s perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway.

Nice conservation area 2 hours from Toronto. The trail starts from the falls into the woods for about 3.5 km ending with a beautiful view from the high point of the forest. Looks amazing in fall. The trail does not make a loop, so you need to return the same path. Good sight of the falls at the start of the trail. I was a little disappointed as usually you get to the scenic point after having made effort on the trails. Well that's normally my incentive. But then at the end of the trail the sight was quite breathtaking so it all ended well. PS: The staff said the trail goes up to Tobermory, if one is feeling really enthusiastic ;)

The falls themselves are gorgeous, and if you're feeling a bit adventurous you can walk up the river leading to them and you'll come across a little abandoned shack with cool graffiti on it. Be cautious, though, because we encountered some broken glass. Seems that some people visit at night to party irresponsibly. We even saw some people sitting right on the edge of the falls! Idiots. Anyways, it's a beautiful spot but a short visit because there isn't much in terms of a trail. Definitely a must-visit. The ability to pay for parking through an app is definitely a bonus.

Lovely conservation area., which has a trail that runs both up and down the Falls. The trail is free for all ,there is no Conservation people stationed there. It runs along the edge of the river. So there's a lot of viewing spots along the way to see the Falls and the river below .You will see both Flora , fauna, and walk on rock face that goes back to the Prehistoric age. There's trees that grow in the most impossible places along the cliff face, and you can stand by the very edge of where the Falls begin,s it drops. It's a good one day outing if you pack a lunch or supper. There are no restaurants or stores located there. You could see most of it in a couple of hours too..Plenty of parking and the road along the way is clearly marked . There,s a large covered lunch or dinner area Where you can cook and eat on picnic tables with a dry and clean concrete floor. With washrooms near by. The trail is fairly easy and marked clearly. There are spots along the trail with signs that give you interesting insights of the area . A nice walk indeed , that can clear your mind, and remind you that Mother Nature is the best artist this planet has and...

The falls - Most of the water is diverted upstream for hydro power, robbing it of most of it's splendour. There are warning signs all along the river upstream warning you of extreme prosecution should you disregard them to get into a position to take it all in. The legitimate reason being that the hydro plant can vary the water level by the minute, and you could be washed over the falls. The official viewing locations behind the walls and fences are not very good in the summer, as it's pretty obstructed by foliage.

The paths - Nice trails, stick to the official paths with kids, the wall to the south ends abruptly, and the unofficial paths heading south along the cliffs edge have a precipitous drop-off and lots of tripping hazards. Similar if you follow the path north through the loop that comes back south on the west side of the upper side of the falls; steep, lose gravel.

If you are looking to splash about beneath a waterfall, Hoggs Falls to the south-west near Flesherton is...
