⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Hidden Gem in the City Black Rock Beach is a peaceful escape right in Halifax. Nestled in Point Pleasant Park, it offers beautiful ocean views, soft sand, and a perfect spot to relax or take a refreshing dip. With a mix of nature, history, and tranquility, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind by the water. Five stars! 🌊🏖️✨

A sand beach for kids and your fur friends to enjoy the water. Bear in mind its not under supervision, so be aware of the changing weathers here of a coastal city like Halifax. Part of Point Pleasant Park, one of the ordinary stopping place in the park with extraordinary insight and peace might be bringing to visitors.

We went there with the intent to swim in the Atlantic but were greeted with this sign when we arrived. There is a lot of green grass and very nice walk ways and paths but I don't think the area is appropriate to swim in. The 'beach' is really made of black rock (who knew?). There are tons of shells to pick though!

This is a little sand and pebble beach between the parking lot and a lovely, glacially scoured outcrop of the local black bedrock. This rock was deep sea floor off the coast of Africa before the ocean predating the Atlantic closed up. You can see lighter layers of rippled silt among the dark layers of mud. The silt was swept down to the depths in storms. You can check it out and go on the walk the trails of Point Pleasant Park. It is a favourite place and people...

Not a large beach, but it gets the job done!! The small cove warms the water a bit more than the open ocean, and the water is much less polluted than one would expect for a major harbour. NICE spot for beachcombing in the winter, and a great place for playing in the sand and water in the summertime, especially for the younger set. The wall there is also nice for just sitting and relaxing. Overall, a great part of a...

I love this place. I grew up in Halifax and Point Pleasant is one of my favorite places to go when I visit. The park itself is beautiful and the ruins of the old forts are a joy to explore. There are paths through the park and plenty of places to sit, the canteen is open in the summer and there is a little corner store at the entrance that sells ice cream. Do yourself a favor and check out this...
