Nice place!

Trails: They are very poorly laid out. Follow my pictures carefully, and they will show you the path to find the falls. It will save you a lot of hassle. A couple of pictures are out of order, but I state that in a comment on my picture. To find the falls, start at the McCoy Pavilion. Stand and look out, and you will see a break in the trees (see my pic because there a number of breaks in the trees). Follow the yellow marked disk golf path, which is easier to follow. Find the multi-purpose trail sign (my pic that shows a horse). Then, cross the dam and immediately turn left. Find the "water control device" marker. Lastly, turn left at the two yellow signs that say "Warning: Dam upstream."

Trail options: You can walk, bike, or go horseback riding.

Activities: Boat rentals are closed this year, but people brought their own kayaks and canoes. There is a boat launch area and a dock. You can go swimming on a sandy beach. There is a disk golf section. You can BBQ here or use a fire pit. You can follow the poorly laid trails on a very poorly drawn map. Christie's Falls is beautiful. Don't miss it. Be careful not to step on baby frogs at the falls; there are so many tiny brown ones. We were able to climb on the rocky surface of the falls, and then climb down it and stand right in front of it. Beautiful!

Picnic areas: They have picnic tables, BBQ grills, and fire pits. There are several picnic areas.

Busyness: On the weekend, it wasn't very busy. It is a huge place. However, I saw a large car lineup on our way out. We went in the morning.

Payment: This place is free with a HCA pass.

Washrooms: They have washrooms with running water and flushing toilets.

Pavilions: They have pavilions to rent for parties. They have picnic tables and safe drinking water from a tap.

Parking: There is a ridiculous number of parking lots throughout the conservation area, and they are either deserted or have quite a bit of space left. The McCoy Pavilion parking lot was one of the busier ones....

We came across a Christie lake by accident on our way to Dundas peak. This was because parking at Dundas peak was closed during the weekends during autumn leaf season. The only parking was available at Christie Lake. Christie lake had a fair amount of parking both in the regular parking lot and also on the field segmented off for vehicles and shuttle buses. We walked around Christie lake And discovered that it’s actually very nice. There is a large area for picnics and walking around, nice washrooms, and an area for boats. There are also areas to play baseball as well. It is also very easy to connect to neighbouring trails so this is a very good starting point to walk around and hike. It is a very beautiful lake and surrounding areas so I would highly recommend coming. I will not hesitate to come back in the future to enjoy the park. One note however, is that we had to pay $20 parking for one car and two passengers. It is $15 for a car +5 dollars for additional passenger. Keep this in mind when coming.
