Good: quite a bit to do for young families at this one location. Pumpkin picking, corn maze, farm animals, play ground, pumpkin cannon , bakery, food truck, escape room games. There was a big shady tree and picnic benches to sit on. The staff were very friendly . Lots of parking on the grass The not so good: a bit pricy to pay for the things all separately. Animal smells when you’re eating isn’t great. No scoop to feed the animals after it says they may bite and no price on the feed animal. The escape room was a bit underwhelming. If you have a little one watch out in the corn maze . There’s still old corn on the stalks and ground so the kiddos may try to eat them. The corn maze was exactly that it said it was and perhaps I’m just being entitled but I thought there would be more. Like a few cheesy scarecrows or fun Halloween displays along the way in the corners and nooks, maybe a few hay barrels to sit on when you’re tired of walking in the hot sun for 1.5-2 hours.

The Tiny Shop Bakery is one of those country bakeries that delivers the goods. The butter tarts are amazing and we tried a delicious snack called Christmas crack and it was incredible. The store is cozy and tasteful with very friendly service, we will definitely return for another treat

I visited the corn maze and had fun! There were a couple small groups of us so the scavenger hunt aspect and the competition factor made it more enjoyable! It's important to note the map is not to scale but the lines are accurate which helped a lot. The map was my lifeline to know which way to turn and how to get to where I needed to go. It was nice being in the corn field because the tall stalks provided some shade in the PM. I suggest close toed shoes so your don't get your feet dirty. Remember, you'll be walking for at least 1.5 hours. I visited the small farm with sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, a rooster, rabbits, and a miniature horse. I found the goats to be the most friendly as they would come up to the fence and just stand there eventhough I didn't have food. I risked sticking my hand in to pet them and they just stood there till I was done petting them!! I would recommend this place!!!

Initially I was not going to leave a public review as I thought I could rectify this issue by obtaining a refund, however after repeated attempts at trying to obtain a refund and not receiving a response I now feel obliged to share my experience to whomever is reading this.

At the beginning of October, my fiancé and I signed up for the corn maze for a 3:00pm-5:00pm time frame. Unfortunately, we were coming from Toronto, and we did not anticipate that QEW would be with heavy traffic and reduced to one lane at a point. Our commute ended up being close to an hour and 45 minutes and we arrived at 3:50pm. Although we were paranoid about whether we would be let in, I looked at my reservation in my email again and saw a time block reserved from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with no message stating that you have to show up at exactly 3pm, so I thought we were fine as long as we were within the block.

We proceeded to the receptionist, who was likely in high school and definitely brought her high school attitude to our conversation. She told us “sorry, we cannot let you in anymore because you guys are too late, we cannot monitor people going in and coming out”. And although we were frustrated based on our long drive and excitement, I understood her statement especially in COVID times. However, after I explained our situation in a very nice way and asked if we could still be let in for an hour, instead of receiving a compassionate response (even if she tells us that we could still not be let in), she immediately responded with a rude attitude “Look, if this was a movie theatre would you be showing up an hour late to the movie?” and then began repeating her analogy in different ways. Being in customer service, I know you cannot speak to your customers in that way, especially if the customer has not even instigated that kind of a response. I proceeded to match her tone by telling her that her analogy was unnecessary, and we ended up going back and forth about the issue. Eventually she stated in her continued rude tone “if we are done, it would be good for you guys to leave now so the people waiting behind you who actually showed up on time can be let in”. I asked if we could obtain a refund since this was a unique situation where we actually showed up and not let in, and she gave me their email address to contact to obtain a refund. I probably contacted them about three times since that time, but have not heard any response back for a refund.

This was a frustrating experience because 1. It was a long commute to and from hanes corn maze 2. The teenager at the front got away with being as rude as she wanted without being prompted 3. We could not receive a refund for this experience despite being told that we could receive one. As a business, they need to meet certain standards and that begins with maintaining professionalism in their interactions with their customers, and also maintaining honesty when they tell you that you can receive a refund. Unfortunately none of these standards have been met by hanes corn maze, and instead this business operates by providing a teenager great autonomy to speak in an offensive and ill-mannered tone to customers without oversight. For anyone who is reading this and planning on going to the maze, please enjoy, but know that you are supporting a business with this level of integrity. Also, feel free to filter the google reviews to see the lowest reviews where other customers have spoken about their interactions with the teenagers...

NOT A REAL PUMPKIN PATCH. Wished we checked the reviews before making the drive all the way back out there. (We passed by a week ago saw a big Pumpkin Patch sign thinking it'll be a cool place to check out and grab a pumpkin for Halloween).

Started out great - got out of the car, smelled a whiff of delicious fried apples, so decided to check out the cute bakery out front - bought some fresh apple fritters. However this experience was quickly overturned once we walked towards the 'pumpkin patch'/farm/whatever. Had a bad experience, thinking we were going to visit JUST a pumpkin patch and pay for pumpkins we pick. INSTEAD The business decides to be very shady and sleazy. Women in booth told us we had to ALSO pay a FARM ANIMAL AREA entrance fee JUST to get into the pumpkin patch (Cost of Visiting their Petting Zoo/ Farm Animals) even if we had no intention of checking that out. Their reasoning was because in the past people would just go there regardless of paying, so now they're trying to extort us into pay for something we wouldn't even be doing thinking we would SNEAK INTO the Farm after getting a pumpkin, and on top of that, charge us for pumpkins we choose. But these were also apparently two separate attractions?!

If this was made known up front/on their website that we had to pay some entrance fee just to GET INTO the pumpkin patch regardless of checking out their farm (not sure why they wouldn't just set up a FARM specific booth in front of farm area to ensure people going in would be charged instead) I wouldn't have a problem with it, because at least we would be aware of this and decide if this is still something we want to check out, but coming across as a pumpkin patch but then charging a fee per person when we get there ASSUMING everyone will check out the rest of the property, is a pretty bad customer experience in my opinion. Feel bad for families they take advantage of once they're already there with kids and have to fork out $10-13+tax entrance per person + $5 per pumpkin if that's all...

Its very rare for me to write a bad review but this place wasn't good. The 2 young teenage girls at the counter were not friendly or knowledgeable with answering anything. They actually told me to step aside and read their website to answer my questions and were extremely rude . I always like seeing young teenagers working and learning responsibility, but I didn't see any adult to supervise them which was obvious by their disrespectful behavior. I attended in early October and all the Sunflowers were dead and falling over. The pumpkins were scattered on the ground amongst the dead sunflowers and several of the pumpkins were smashed and rotting amongst the good ones which was attracting bee's and bugs. It was very unattractive with the dead sunflowers and broken rotting pumpkins, actually kind of gross sadly. I seen pictures earlier in the summer and looked very nice, huge disappointment when I went, it should have been closed. They don't accept walk ins because of the Covid 19 ,which I totally understand because limited numbers. So you book in advance then you arrive and its a huge disappointment and they already have your money. The website promotes social distancing which is impossible in the Corn maze passing each other lost in the confusion and nobody was wearing masks or gloves or anything. Other places I've attended either supply or sell masks and gloves making it mandatory and supervised, which is not the case here unfortunately. The website also says no alcohol or marijuana but I personally seen 3 different groups of young people smoking marijuana and consuming alcohol inside the Corn Maze. Nobody supervising for safety guidelines or substance abuse which if they were reported authorities would shut them down and they would be fined. The pumpkin pie I bought was the only good thing, but at $23.00 for 1 pie was way overpriced despite tasting good. I'm sorry to leave such a poor review but I was very upset with everything and I definitely can't reccomend...
