I don’t even know where to start. The level of frustration I feel right now is beyond words. I have been camping at this resort since last year, and in May (long weekend) I went again. While I was there, I personally walked site by site to choose the exact spot I wanted for August, to celebrate my birthday with friends. I asked staff many questions, planned everything carefully, and right after leaving the resort—literally in the car—I booked Site 20, because it had the larger gazebo, perfect for hosting friends with kids and having a barbecue. I even paid the lock fee option, which is supposed to guarantee that they cannot move you from your chosen site.
Well, that was NOT what happened. When I arrived this today, my site was not available. They placed me in a horrible site instead—half the size, right on a noisy street, with a “view” of the boat parking lot and “relaxing sounds” of the road. Completely disrespectful! You ruined my birthday weekend.
The excuse was that the trailer on Site 20 was “bigger” than mine. I walked there to check—IT WAS NOT. Even worse, it was the exact same family and trailer that were there back in May. And when I made my booking, Site 20 was available. They told me that family checked in on Tuesday… so what does that mean? That I was bumped because they arrived earlier? Or maybe because they’re your friends?
I drove two hours with a 5-year-old, a 6-month-old, and all the preparations for my birthday weekend, only to be told I had no choice. The receptionist kept repeating, “What do you want me to do for you?” — excuse me?? What do I want? I want the site I PAID FOR.
To make things worse, there was another large site (Site 10) still available, but they refused to give it to me because a “bigger trailer” was arriving later. So basically, it was okay to ruin my weekend, but not someone else’s who hadn’t even arrived yet.
This was cruel, unacceptable, and shows complete mismanagement. You did NOTHING to fix it, not even offering a proper refund when I decided to leave and go back home.
I will NEVER recommend this resort to anyone. Horrible administration, disrespectful service, and zero...
Read moreSprings RV Resort is a beautiful and luxurious place for some glamping! They have 2 beautiful clubhouses that are well maintained, and constantly cleaned. Each clubhouse has a pool and a hot tub, however one pool is for families and the other is 18+, which is great! Both were very clean. The grounds are gorgeous and the landscaping is well manicured with plants and flowers everywhere. Most of the staff members are great too. A special shout out goes to the manager, Matt aka "Goose". This guy went above and beyond. His customer service was like no other...such a great and hard working guy! Any request we had, it was done within minutes. His wife who works in the office (Maddie, I think her name is) was also such a delight. We did unfortunately have a reoccurring issue with a staff member named Kim. This woman was incredibly rude and has zero customer service skills. She constantly scoldered the kids in our group and would argue with them alone, instead of talking to the adults. When we raised concerns about her, we were told "she doesn't like kids"...it's probably best not to work at a camp ground if you don't like kids...I still can't get over how rude she was, and rolled her eyes at us when we expressed concerns about her behavior. That being said, this ill-tempered person doesn't justify giving this place anything less than 5 starts, because overall, they...
Read moreWe recently purchased a 17ft Bigfoot travel trailer and thought we’d try it out close to home (we live in the Fraser Valley) We chose the Springs RV Resort as it had all the amenities needed for our visit and our 2 grand daughters who stayed two days with us. We loved the pools, hot tubs, club houses and playgrounds. The property is beautifully maintained and we felt safe and secure there. Proximity to Harrison Village and the lake is super convenient. It was quiet at night and everyone seemed very respectful. And while our little trailer was surrounded by mammoth 5th wheels and trailers, we still felt at home! The only complaint was that our rental lot was just a gravel square with a picnic table. It would be nice if it had at least a patch of grass at the back (some lots had this) If we stay there again I would look into getting something with some grass. Other that that, we highly recommend the Springs and we...
