Very unsatisfied.... they have a hard time managing their black jack tables... I was there before 12pm... there was a note on the screen the displays the bets min and max, saying that the min bet was going up to $50 from $25 at 12pm... ok no problem... but then they open a $25 table at 12pm right... beside the table that was going upto $50 causing everyone to rush over to one table without a courtesy call to reserve a spot at the $25 table that was opening, to continue playing min bet $25.... in the mad scramble to switch tables we find people have reserved places at the table before it even opened leaving 2 spots open for people coming over from the now $50 table who wanted to play $25...
In the mad switch even if we wanted to go back to the $50 to play which we did give up our seat when we left... the $50 table filled with players so 3 people were left not being able to play blackjack period because there was only 2 tables open on a Tuesday morning.
All could have been avoided with 3 different scenarios that's most casinos do throughout North America...
1... Give everyone who was at that $25 table a grandfather chip for a set amount of time after stakes were raised.
2.... Make the table that was opening along side the $25 table at 12pm the $25 the $50 table....
3.... Give a courtesy call that your opening a $25 as the stakes are raising at the table so people can transfer to that table to continue playing instead of a mad scramble for people to switch tables and to have some not even allowed to even continue playing.
When speaking to the pit bosses it was just shrugged off and left on resolved...
I've never had a issue like this in all the time I've...
Read moreUnfortunately gateway seems to continue to disappoint there players after playing high limits all night with my brother we decided to go eat and learn that the resturant has a 50$ capp on food comps after 10pm during the week?? How infuriating this is but that rule doesn't apply if you pay with your credit card or cash seems like gateway is trying to maximize there profits with this technique and have zero regard for there players they seem to forget that food comps is earned through playing, I would advise the players to voice there concern with this rule as its not right to play thousands and get 50$ food comp limit. This is happening to to casino Rama as well and they seem to only focus on the gambling side and not the entertainment side as they have really good food at the casinos that is worth the try but considering there very expensive items 50$ food comp will be nothing when there charging 8$ for a basic tuna sandwich that you can make at home. I would like to say the one lady serving us seems to hate her job and gave us a hard time when voicing are concerns and was slow to give us are food items and purposely tried to make are order items incorrect and took 5 min to give us a perrier water when it was right infront of her, that said the lady she was working with was a sweetheart and the manger was so respectful about the nightmare situation of last night will be coming back to thus casino for the gambling side but if gateway continues this trend It won't be good for business as I can gamble online these days so they should fix the resturant issue if they want players to...
Read moreThis used to be a favorite casino to venture to. The invitation, reservation and standby process to get in during covid is beyond disaster and disappointment. Understandably, to follow covid guidelines regarding capacity but it is ridiculous that... You need to be a member and have used your card to play pre-covid for corporate to generate an invitation for you to call and reserve your spot. As they allow for waiting in line system in case the "special" invited members leave early and you show up, register for standby, wait outside and they'll call you if there is a spot... but here's another catch, if another member in that standby line that did not receive invite but happen to have played using their card one time more than you, they get bumped up, even if you got there before them! We waited for 2 hours onsite, it has now been 6 hours later and still have not received a message! Corporate needs to realize not everyone uses their cards to play so you can wait until the vaccine comes out to get in. It is very sad that we don't matter, our money isn't valuable because they can't track you if you seldom or never inserted your card into the machines, eventhough we're frequent players! Other casinos have online 50 capacity booking system (that works), not sure why Gateway Innisfil does it differently and makes it difficult for their customers and themselves. Definitely, you lost a customer. I rather take my money elsewhere where we are recognized as a player with money to play. Win or lose, I'd at least be appreciated and have opportunity to enjoy the experience...
