I took my daughter for her 23rd birthday, I wanted to go to the buffet ($50 per person!). I figured it had to be good for $50. Wrong. The food selection was minimal and bland. We were underwhelmed and I felt like an idiot for not just leaving and hitting the snack bar before hitting the races. I feel like the buffet should be worth about $15 per person...no where near worth $50! The server wasn't too enthusuastic either, she seemed like she didn't even want to be there. The staff who helped guide us through the process of placing bets were fabulous though. They saved our experience and the only reason I added an extra star. I spent $200 plus a tip on the crappiest buffet I have ever been to, and I think the worst part was that I emailed Georgian Downs about it and didn't even get a response. Just an update. Worst place I’ve ever been to. Waited at the bar for almost ten minutes to get a drink. One server dealing with food. Gave up on the idea. No bar service while playing either. All but two ATM’s were out of service. Over fifty games out of service. Table stakes are way too high for a place like this and the tightest slots I’ve ever played. Lost $1200. Biggest win? $28. No water or coffee service walking around. This will be the last time I come here. I don’t mind losing the money or I wouldn’t gamble at all. But this place is a complete joke on the service end of it. They take in millions and the customer pays the price. Both literally and figuratively. The staff saw my husband struggling to walk with a cane and offered a wheelchair. But today was a big step for him using only a cane...the morning lady actually came outside to hold the door for us..and the man leaving asked again if we needed a wheelchair I said now And he said good luck slow and steady is the best way to go... he was so nice
