This is such a lovely beach, quiet and clean. The path is somewhat easy, not too steep and it took us about 15 minutes to walk down from the parking lot. The path is surrounded by tall trees, it's lush and gorgeous. There's an outhouse by the trailhead and also at the end of the trail just when entering the beach area. It's a sandy beach but there are small rocks as you get closer to the water. There were people surfing when we got there but we were there to picnic and beachcomb. Best accidental find on our visit to...

The day Beach is a beautiful sandy beach and wonderful to visit and walk and spend some time. The campsite is 100% reservable, which means no first come, first served available so you must know when you're going and jump through the hoops to make your reservation and pay (extra money charged of course)! Not great for those who show up and just want to spend a couple nights. Please leave as some spots as first come first served: 100% reservable...

China Beach is a stunning and serene destination. The beach itself offers picturesque views, clean sand, and gentle waves, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The surrounding nature and wildlife add to the charm, with coastal forest trails and abundant wildlife sightings. The amenities, including convenient parking, clean washrooms, and picnic areas, enhance the overall experience. Highly recommended for a memorable visit in...

The hike is incredible, with some challenges, but the pay off is worth it. The beach was breathtaking! In April, it's a bit muddy. Hiking shoes are a must, the terrain could be a bit rough. Lots of roots hopping and climbing boardwalk stairs and trail. Kids over five did well, but allow extra time. Arrive no later than 11am to start your hike, this way you can spend more time on the beach and still have plenty of light to get back.

We were there in middle August, and the water was cold! The beach is super-sandy, but also rocky the same time. The waves keep redistributing the sand. If you hold still you can feel it disappear underneath your feet and then the next wave, it's all smooth again. Beautiful views, Be warned that cell service is terrible out there and our phone plan with Virgin kept trying to switch us over to the US and roaming charges.
