An awesome park with lots of trails to explore! I was on a weekend trip and could only spend a bit of time to explore the area, but it was a great location! I did the sunset trail (it was kind of hard to find as you need to follow several different trails before you see any sign of sunset trail, such as the never-ending ponderosa trail) - but it was worth it! I hiked with my stan smiths thinking it wouldn’t be so bad, as it was rated easy, but i wish I used a proper hiking shoes. Area’s pretty open too with limited shade, so it can be quite hot when the sun’s up - don’t forget to bring a hat or cap! I’d definitely come back to explore more! :)

There are quite a few trails here. Most are steep so be ready to go up. The view from the top was great and I felt a good sense of accomplishment when I made it up. We took the main viewpoint trail. It took about 1 hour to go up, hang out a bit at the top, then go down. I would not take my kids. They would have complained a lot. It is all up! There was parking, it was easy to find, there was a bathroom and garbage can at the base of the trail and this was a good trail to try if you are looking for a good little hike and aren’t from town - it was easy to find and it is well marked, you won’t get lost.

DEATH WISH for green riders. Avoid at all costs. The green trails are 25% green, 50% blue, and 25% triple black diamond. Trails are abysmal, dangerous and unkempt. I am so mad. Had to take a detour because of construction on a blue trail. It was on the edge of a 75 degree inclined hill. Instant death if you tracked off 8 inches. Then after a km of that, then the trail has a nasty fence made of barbed wire, ready to rip you to shreds if you track of the trail by a few degrees. Park should be closed if they can't maintain it or put up black diamond markers for every trail....
