FUN! I have ALWAYS wanted to hike up in these trails, constantly driving on the Red Bridge looking in awe at the trails & people enjoying, but in all of my years never have until now. I was happy to be able to do so with my family as well. It wasn’t the easiest drive, at least the way google GPS took me, but we got there & tons of parking! We went for the waterfall, so we followed trail markers leading to it. We did ignore the signs of warning & knew the risks. We took the “easiest/safest” route & made it safely to/from. We were not disappointed & I am sure would be greater in size around spring, early summer. Definitely a lovely hike & easily managed by myself, my husband who is seeing impaired & our girls 10 & 12. We took one way to the falls & a different way back. All views lovely & we enjoyed the diversity of the vegetation we walked through. So glad we took the time. From parking lot to falls & back, 1 hour. Well maintained & super tidy. Graffiti is disappointing to see but what can one do. Enjoy your hike, be mindful of dangers & make choices appropriate to...

I use the new peterson creek paved pathway nearly every day in October. Yesterday after work I was going down hill, and on the straighter bottom third, these two big dogs/wolves who were off their leash attacked me from out of nowhere. I turned around and ran like hell back up the hill, one of them tried to leap at me but I was able to avoid, and they must have stopped the chase. I was gassed, but made it to the top of the hill and out. Plus side: workouts are never better than when you're running for your life. But I wont be using this again if they allow attack dogs off leashes. It's too bad, as most times when I use it, there's no one else in sight....

Peterson Creek Park deserves a solid 5-star rating for its proximity to downtown Kamloops and its wonderful trail options. Although the parking is limited, the park offers numerous well-marked, winding trails that are perfect for exploring. In the summer, the paths can be a bit dusty, but that doesn’t detract from the experience. The views of Kamloops and the valley from the park are beautiful and truly rewarding. It’s an ideal spot for trail running or just a leisurely hike to enjoy the natural surroundings. A must-visit for both locals and tourists seeking a quick escape...
