I love this place, we have had it quite a few times. Today, we went in to get breakfast to go, and I always get the vegetarian breakfast on Bannock. It used to be so good.... Sadly, they have changed it. No more havarti or dill cream cheese. Instead the cheddar was greasy and they do a homemade hummus that was not good at all. It was chunky (whole bits of chicken peas) and honestly did not taste good, plus it has increased in price compared to the ones with meat etc. I scraped the hummus off as soon as I got home and added my own condiments, but even then it wasn't that good. My nana liked hers with bacon and my littles said the mini sugared Bannock were okay today, but not as good as last time. The lavender Lemonade was also just okay, it was so sweet this time, I watered it down and still couldn't drink it. I left a tip, but honestly I do ot feel as though it was worth it. For just under $30, next time I will go elsewhere.
Also, a warning your menu has changed would be nice. As when I ordered the lady asked a clarification question and I said the one with dill cream cheese and havarti. When I noticed that there was another one on the menu while waiting for my order I asked about it and she said, we have never had that sandwich... even online it says their breakfast sandwich the way it used to be... I am just super frustrated with the whole experience and the sandwich that I ended up with...
*Do not get their hummus... it is not...
Read moreDuring my two-day visit to Kamloops, I stumbled upon Kekuli Café, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. This cozy spot blends warmth with authenticity, offering a menu that stands out for its creativity and quality.
Their caffe latte was a standout—a perfectly brewed cup with rich, smooth flavors that coffee enthusiasts would truly appreciate. But what makes Kekuli Café truly unique is its incorporation of bannock bread into their sandwiches. The combination of the soft, slightly sweet bannock and fresh, flavorful fillings made for a delicious and memorable meal.
The ambiance of the café is equally inviting, with a laid-back vibe that encourages you to sit back and savor your time. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or lingering over coffee, the experience feels personal and welcoming.
Kekuli Café offers more than just great food and coffee—it’s a taste of something truly local and distinctive. If you’re ever in Kamloops, don’t miss the chance to enjoy this hidden gem. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and satisfying...
Read moreI've been meaning to come here since they opened but every time I drove by during the warmer months, it was always so full!
So on a cold winter morning I got my chance. Their drinks selection is so much fun and includes your usual coffee drinks: black coffee, lattes, etc. but then also unique drinks like a Saskatoon berry latte (obviously I got that one) and matcha lavender latte (going to try this one next!) among many others.
Then I got a Canadian bacon breakfast sandwich to start my day and a venison bannock for later. Oh my god, the BANNOCK WAS SO GOOD. The venison was especially unique and I'm already salivating for another one.
The location is very convenient, maybe dangerously so, and the prices are fair. Parking is in the lot right outside and they have several designated spots for Kekuli customers. Service is friendly and welcoming.
I'm definitely adding this spot to my regular rotation in town and it's easily my favourite coffee shop...
