Our dogs love the beach. As a dog owner, we look for safe places for our dogs to enjoy being off-leash. Everyone walks their dogs off-leash here. Our dogs are well trained and friendly so we usually walk the path to socialize with other dogs and spend time at the beach. The place is big enough to have the option to avoid socializing by staying close to the beach if needed. It won't stop other dogs from approaching you but we typically scan the area and watch for other dogs that may be approaching that are showing signs of aggressive behavior so that we can avoid any incidents...
Read moreMy pup and I love this park. We usually park on Lakeshore Road, walk down to the water and back up for a little extra exercise. It's nice that there's some variety in the terrain - play catch in the upper open field or splash around in the lake. The people that frequent the park seem friendly for the most part and have good control over their 4 legged friends. It would be nice if there were public toilets (and maybe a pup rinse station - the lake water can get grungy with pollen this time of year) but otherwise, this is our go-to...
