I love visiting Kennedy Woods! It's one of my favourite natural spots in Essex County. There's a small wooded area to walk through near the parking lot. Past that, there is a field that is becoming more and more naturalized which makes it an interesting spot to look for and study naturally growing, (and possibly edible or medicinal) plants. Past the field there are really nice walking trails through a second wooded area. There's much to discover there with many variety of trees, shrubs, grasses and wild flowers, which changes with the changing seasons! The trails are being improved and maintained with wood mulch which makes them easier to traverse if there has been some wet weather. There is a small, grassy, picnic area right by the parking lot and a outhouse to use as well.

Enchanting place for a walk in the fall or anytime. Quite a few well maintained trails divided into sections. Could easily spend hours exploring here. Great in the fall for the colors or for birds in the spring.

Nice little walk in the trees. Very quiet except for the spring peepers, frogs. Easy trails.

As soon as we drove into the parking lot we were in awe of the fall foliage. The sun was hitting the yellow leaves making it look magical! We walked through sugar bush trail into Tom's Meadows and turned back. It was a pleasant short 15-20 min. Would definitely go back to see the whole trail and the Bird Sanctuary...

This a great place to get out and enjoy a nature walk with the family, or check out the geese and other birds. A hidden gem of Kingsville. Recently they've been making many improvements to the grounds. We take our kids every few weeks for a walk in the forest and to see...
