I love visiting Kennedy Woods! It's one of my favourite natural spots in Essex County. There's a small wooded area to walk through near the parking lot. Past that, there is a field that is becoming more and more naturalized which makes it an interesting spot to look for and study naturally growing, (and possibly edible or medicinal) plants. Past the field there are really nice walking trails through a second wooded area. There's much to discover there with many variety of trees, shrubs, grasses and wild flowers, which changes with the changing seasons! We walked through sugar bush trail into Tom's Meadows and turned back. It was a pleasant short 15-20 min. Would definitely go back to see the whole trail and the Bird Sanctuary...
