Today we went to participate in the National Wildlife Week event here. This is the last day of this event, and we still saw a lot of very good vendors. Not only can you eat special food and drink delicious drinks here, but there are also many interesting and cute things to buy. The staff and volunteers here are very warm and friendly. We bought drinks, very beautiful necklaces and very cute emotional support crochets. Some are gifts, and some are kept by ourselves. It's so cute. I hope there will be such a wonderful market next time, and we will come back to see it. The birds here are very cute, and the peacocks are always spreading their tails, haha 😄

Beautiful weekend, Migration Festival was a huge success. Parade on Saturday, and finishing it off with an outstanding Car Show. Vintage, sporty, all collectors beauties on display for the crowd. A total of 221 vehicles were in attendance. Weather was beautiful. Jack Miner provided a great pancake breakfast for all patrons, and the cost was a donation.

Here's something new we discovered today. Look for 19 bricks on the garage with M. Miner 1915 hidden in the brickwork. Then go to the house to the left of the main sanctuary and read the plaque in front of the house. Always something new that we discover and we've been here a hundred times.

In 1904, Miner created a pond on his farm with seven clipped, tame Canada geese, hoping to attract wild geese. It would take four years of effort before the wild geese finally began to settle at Miner's sanctuary. In 1911 and onwards, geese and ducks were arriving in large numbers, and Miner increased the size of his pond. In 1913, the entire homestead had become a bird sanctuary. The provincial government of Ontario provided funding for Miner's project, allowing him to add evergreen trees and shrubs, and to dig more ponds and surround them with...

Nice place to visit. The director was friendly. Unfortunately, one of the employees working there, an old woman, didn't really seem to want to help us out. She told us the house was closed whereas the director had told us it was open a few seconds earlier. She also didn't know how to make the credit card machine work, and we therefore couldn't...
