Very disappointed in the ski school experience as they have no regard for safety. We had our 4 year old in their ski school program, and she was repeatedly placed on a chairlift, without an adult, and was unable to pull down the bar on her own because she is young and small. She literally rode the chairlift up the hill, without an adult, with the bar pulled-up the whole time. Thank god she didn't fall off. We spoke with the instructor (who rolled her eyes at us) and heads of the ski school about this who agreed this should not be happening, yet our child continued to be placed on the chairlift without an adult against our explicitly expressed instructions. I called the ski school to report my concerns and no one bothered to call me back. Will never register our children in these programs again and would caution other parents as well.

Our older daughter also did the advance program and was miserable as well. She spent most of the time standing around on the hill freezing, waiting for other students to catch-up, and hardly skied at all during her two hour lesson. 2023 Winter was a very poor experience for...

10 our of 21 runs open, but full ticket price and I wouldn't have even minded...but when you get yelled at by ski patrol because you're on a blue with plenty of snow and they've decided to close it for reasons unknown (and there were mounds of man-made snow all over the mountain just waiting to be groomed into the base...)...even though there was a blue on the other chairlift that was in worse shape and still open with a warning sign about bare spots...it kind of just gets on your nerves.

Also, someone stole my sunglasses from the cafeteria, one of the few runs that was open was being used for a rinky dink race, but the athletes (and their parents) chided anyone who tried to use part of the run that had their gates on it to one side-chill guys, it's not the olympics-, the chalet is way too far from the bottom of the lifts so it's a hike for the kids to get them, the lifts closed at 3:45, not 4 and I got yelled at by the operator that it was his weekend too (I was there with my six year old niece and she wanted her full 4 hours).

Unlikely to go back, unless...

This should have been a 4 to 5 star review, if it wasn't for the terrible service on the phone, The slopes were fun, the instructor Jaques was wonderful, I wanted to call again and book a lesson but I could not get anyone, so I left my number they called back a day after and hung up after two rings, I could not pick up the phone fast enough and then I had to go through the whole process again except this time the extension was not working at all, so I called the reception, she was very rude kept on interrupting me and literally, would not let me speak, I kept saying just let me speak please and she kept interrupting, she kept saying call back tomorrow or email and I wanted to tell her that the extension is not working, then she became very sarcastic in a nice way and aggressive in a nice way, how any business can have their team be this rude to their customers is beyond me, one phone call like that and the customer is forever...

Honestly an underrated ski hill in the Ottawa area. While it is not the biggest hill, its charm makes up for it. Decent variety of terrain (all black trails are steep and narrow) with 3 double chairlifts, which are older and bumpier but not slow (3-4 min). Grooming seemed well done despite icy conditions from cold stretch of last few days without snow. All Covid protocols were followed and enforced. Rental equipment was dated, but again worked fine. The one group at a time rule for the rental building seemed strange, as I’m sure the line outside would have been massive on a busy weekend. Weekdays night skiing are pretty quiet, and the views were spectacular. Overall well-lit. Will return!

Visited for the first time in about 20+ years last weekend, and had such a great time! I learned to ski at Vorlage, and I was so happy to see that it's still as great as I remember. The hill is not massive, but the terrain is varied and great for families who have a mix of kids and beginners, and parents or older kids who want a bit more speed or challenge too. For the most part, the staff were very friendly too, and there were no lift lines at all when we went, which was great! Definitely a great place to visit for Ottawa and Gatineau area skiers and families.

Really nice place. Instructors are very knowledgeable. Even staff at the lifts will give you pointers if they notice something. I was there for my son's school, and I had only planned to use the magic carpet hill as a beginner. However, because of their pointers and tips, my son did the more intermediate hill.and I was able to do the full beginner hill. Pretty exciting for a first time skier.
