A beautiful and interesting landscape. There are multiple beautiful trails to follow from the main parking lot. Though, you are required to pay to park to get access to the trails and waterfalls; minus one star. This landscape should be free to the public in my opinion. The park isn't super big for the price of parking, though it is nice to experience the park at least once as a family, by yourself, or with a significant other. Once you enter the parking lot, the falls and mini-canyon are easily reached as they're only about the length of a football field away on a flat enough surface making it very accessible for children and the disabled. There is also a safe barrier around the falls and canyon. Unless you intentionally try to climb over the barrier wall, you'll feel safe. Though I would still recommend supervising the little dare devils from getting over the 4 foot barrier if you know you have any with you. You can see the waterfall and canyon walls very clearly. It's a beautiful place of nature. The power of the falls are felt, the surrounding forest brings peace, and the canyon's strata layers can be seen making the area a very personal, awe-inspiring, educational, and peaceful experience. Visiting alone or even with your pet(s) is not only a good way to exercise, but a place to find peace. The experience may typically be more pleasant in the summer months. But I encourage you to go during manageable winter days as it will give you some exercise, great pictures, a peaceful experience, and a different look compared to the warmer weather months. Moreover, the park is nearly all yours during those manageable winter days. You can travel down to the pond area though it's not very accessible to disabled people because it is quite a trek downward. You can also access trails that will lead you through to other areas and trails. Ball's Falls is also great because of its location. Though it is famous, it's more famous to the closer residents so you're not going to be surrounded by people. On top of that the park is located in the winery district of the area in Beamsville, meaning there are no noise pollutants like airplanes or trains or huge highways. The air is fresh and the mood peaceful. All in all and despite the parking payment, Ball's Falls is a great place to go whether you're traveling through the area, or live close by to the area. It's also a great place to view stars. If you want to learn by experience or have a moment of peace, this is the place to go. There are also heritage sites that showcase preserved buildings with extra educational content. I highly recommend you stop by the park to take in this beautiful gem of...

My family and I went to Ball's Falls (which I can't stop saying and laughing at the same time, lol 😂🤣) as part of our time in Niagara and it was truly a lovely spot to visit if you want to get of the car and go for a walk that will last 30 to 95 minutes depending on your time to wander and explore. You do have to pay for parking $8 per adult, $24 for the entire car for the day but the price is worth it as it really has some incredible views. Temper your expectations though as there wasn't much of a waterfall at the upper and lower falls at this time of year but the chance to stand at the top of a waterfall is pretty cool and scary at the same time. There are also some heritage buildings near the lower falls with an active grist mill used during the Fall Festival and a small, quaint church. Apparently weddings are held here and I can see why as it is really a...

The best time of the year to visit Ball's Falls is during thanksgiving. Ball's Falls Thanksgiving festival is unquestionably a fantastic way to spend a day of your thanksgiving weekend. At this year's festival, in addition to live music, there were a number delicious food vendors (honey, maple syrup, beef jerky, popcorn, poutines, craft beer, wine tasting, etc.), craft goods and antiques (e.g. fashionable handmade wooden furniture), historic attractions (including some with historical role playing characters), and of course the sight of the falls themselves embellished by the beautiful fall colours. During any other time of the year, Ball's Falls is not worth the detour. If you otherwise happen to be in the area, it's a...
