With respect to the negative 1 star review by Nicole Turner, we do not have a record of her reservation. Two days a week we do double duty in wine shop and patio however we have one small kitchen for our dining and this is why we take limited reservations as we can not have many in the kitchen due to health regulations. I find it difficult to believe anyone was here for 3 hours unless they chose to as I worked Wed and Thursday with the Chef and owner. It is disappointing that these concerns were not voiced in person to us (if they actually visited) however we are happy that most of our loyal customers are grateful for us moving forward in these challenging times. Our Ridgepoint Wines continue attract some of the most discerning wine enthusiasts from all over. I know they are all grateful that our team is working hard to keep everyone safe (both employees and valued customers) and that they appreciate us putting ourselves at risk each day. We are a working winery and most days we can manage but if something happens and we run behind it is important to bring it to our attention rather than just simply hide behind a scathing review that we can not trace to try and resolve. We thank all of our customers who have supported us and continue and we will strive to improve more throughout this...
Read moreWent as a party of 6 on June 22, 2024. We were told that the cook didn't want to do much so order just a few small things to share on the patio. We ordered 2 pastas, a Flatbread, and a pizza and it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. We wanted to have a tasting on the patio while we waited and were told we can't do that and we will have to come inside to do it after we eat, but after our food came an hour later they served a tasting to a group of 2 that just arrived. We ordered a total of 3 glasses of wine with our lunch between the 6 of us. When we went to pay the servers argued with us and said they can't split the bill and they have to apply an automatic gratuity (28% tip) since we were a large party, but they refused to serve us flights on the patio and didn't want to feed us. Also the large tip amount is not disclosed by the server ahead of time, nor printed on the menu or boards. The server was not attentive and was very rude and didn't want to be there. Our food and drink total was $134, but with their mandatory tip and tax on top it pushed $200. Not worth the price, wine was decent but the service was bad and they didn't earn any tip let alone 28%. Will never return and suggest the staff receive...
Read moreHaving been to other wineries in the Cherry Avenue area of Vineland, I'm surprised it took us so long to get to Ridgepoint. I'm certainly glad we finally did today. A spacious, welcoming tasting room is a great setting for sampling their excellent wines. Much of the focus at Ridgepoint is on Italian varieties of grapes (Nebbiolo, for example) and Italian styles of wine (ripasso, appassimento), which all delighted my partner. They have a small selection of white wines (more to my liking) with the 2020 Reisling being very good and, again, with the Italian influence, a sparkling prosecco style wine called Bellissima. Table series flight fee (currently $15) is waived with a purchase of $45 (at present), and the Premium series fee ($25) is waived with a purchase of $75. The staff we met today were very friendly and passionate about wine.
I'm looking forward to a return visit (when the patio is open!)
It's worth a trip...
