I stopped @ Pinawa's Suspension Bridge on way 2 Pinawa which is located off the Alice Chambers Trail off of Hwy 211. Its 54 metres long & 1 metre wide. It crosses the Pinawa Channel north of the Pinawa Cementary, the bridge is part of a loop 4 interpretive walks, casual fishing & cross country skiing in the winter. The Pinawa Channel Heritage Walk which is located on the north side which can be accessed form the suspension bridge or by the diversion dam @ the end of Hwy 211 as u pass Pinawa & the Pinawa Golf Club. The town of Pinawa is about 90 minutes away from Winnipeg. This is a great day trip for anybody that likes the great outdoors. There r plenty of trails to hike or bike or u can either canoe or leisurely take a nice slow raft or tube down the river until u hit the suspension bridge. Read moreWe tried this trail starting at the diversion dam with the destination of the suspension bridge early July 2022. I consider myself an experienced hiker and this trail got us lost 3 times. A sign had shifted directions and about 3/4 of the way the trails began to overlap very regularly and we found ourselves in a very marsh like terrain.
