Port Bruce is a quiet town in the winter and a happy and friendly town in the summer. The sunsets are beautiful from the beach. In the summer months. An accessibility mat is placed to assist those with mobility problems to access the beach, and there is a wooden ramp and platform available by the pier with wheelchair access. Seeing many fishermen/women on the pier fishing for perch is a common sight. There is a nice Pavillion and a kids park (including a sprinkler) across from the pier. The local food is good (according to my husband) and covers many options. However, as someone with gluten allergies, I have found there isn't anything here that I can safely eat.

Half of the beach is left natural and often has a lot of large tree logs and lake debris covering the beach area. However, the butterflies and dragonflies, especially during their migration periods, are so beautiful to see fluttering through the dunes!!!

Parking is free but fills up quickly on hot days...

Want to relax on the beach? Want water that's not as cold as you like your beer? Then head to Port Bruce for the perfect day trip!

This beach is worth the drive. Has beautiful views of the lake and cliff banks, a small play park for young kids, a pier, clean public restrooms, a footwash station, and places to get food all in one area.

It has a stone beach that fades to sand and is well maintained and free of debris and garbage. It's a great spot to sit and relax, swim, and play at the water's edge.

A beach umbrella so kids can get a sun break is a good idea if you plan to stay all day.

I'd recommend leaving dogs at home but they are permitted on a leash.

It's pack in/pack out, leave nothing behind so everyone can enjoy this special area. Garbage cans are available.

Don't forget...

Beautiful beach! Nice close restaurant across from us. SHORS (I believe it was called).

They had coconut ice-cream!

That's enough to ensure my return!๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜† There is an outdoor patio (lcbo licensed) & takeout if you prefer to take your food to the beach. The staff there are just lovely & super friendly. Everything we ordered was on point, hot, fresh & yummy. (Best part--parking is free!) Public restrooms across the street just down from the blue restaurant with a foot washing station outside the restrooms. Lovely trailer park across the street on the other side of the blue restaurant. On the drive back we drove down to the other end where the lighthouse is & saw a lovely park for kids with picnic tables & a pavillon. Definitely...

So good.. Got the special today, 10 wings for $10 and tried a few sauces on the side - tequila lime, bbq (hot) and jerk. Really impressed as the wings were plump and juicy and the sauces were tasty, like a step up from generic pub wing sauces. Agree with other reviews that the fries were a decent portion and their gravy is good too. Service super friendly and Mer popped out a few times to thank people for waiting. Nice ambience with the guy singing outside with his guitar. Awesome gem of a place!
