Witty's Beach in Metchosin, British Columbia, is a stunning natural escape highlighting the area's coastal beauty. With breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding landscapes, it’s an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers. The beach is open year-round, allowing visitors to enjoy its charm in any season, though it's wise to check for any seasonal changes or maintenance updates.

The beach offers essential facilities, including clean bathrooms, making it convenient for families and day-trippers. Parking is available but can fill up quickly on sunny days, so arriving early would be best.

One of Witty's Beach's most captivating aspects is its rich wildlife. Visitors can expect to see various birds, such as seagulls and shorebirds, along with seals lounging on the rocks or swimming nearby. The tide pools are alive with marine life, including starfish, anemones, and small crabs, providing an excellent opportunity for exploration.

Overall, Witty's Beach is a delightful destination for anyone seeking natural tranquillity. Whether relaxing on the sand, exploring tide pools, or soaking in the stunning views, this beach has something for everyone. Don’t forget your camera to capture the unforgettable wildlife...

This beach is gorgeous. There is two places to walk down. One is a 1 km hike in, or one is a five minute walk. The five minute walk is great for older people or if you have a huge group. If the tide is out, you see big beautiful sand bars that you can set up camp for a couple hours. It’s huge, so you can have a to. Of people there on a busy weekend and not feel too crowded. Also, it doesn’t seem to attract a ton of tourists either. Lots of the people that go there are locals. It’s a must see.

Note: the Park doesn’t allow dogs during peak season. I have a 12 year old chocolate lab, and I brought him down. Everything was fine. I’m assuming they just don’t want it turning into a dog park and ruining it for...

One of my favourite beaches on the island I make the drive in the summer regularly! The main beach is big and spacious with lots of room, is mostly sand bars and not super rocky at all. Further down the beach past the washrooms to the right is where you go if you like to bare all and even out your tan! I’ve done the treck from the parking lot through the park, it is stunning and I highly suggest it if you have the time it takes about 30 mins at a leisurely pace. The faster route is the stairs and it’s about a 5 min walk down...
