Amazing place! Lagoon trail has a beautiful waterfall called Sitting Lady Falls and at this time of year she is raging loud and beautiful! The lagoon trail takes you around, windy, beautiful trail along the water and brings you to a road which once crossed another park awaits on the right with a small private beach. The beach trail goes down, its a bit steep with steps and can get muddy and slippy at this time of year. Once out of the wooded area it opens up to the beach and wow when the tide is out it's spectacular. One of the best beaches in Victoria in my opinion. If interested there is also a nude beach if you keep walking to the right a ways down lol. It's def worth the drive from Victoria and right next door is the Crazy Cookie house. Witty Lagoon is a fun early morning hike. Listening to the sound of falling water and chirping of birds makes your day extra bright. it’s a fairly easy hike with mostly flat ground. The trail goes through dense forest on one side and Lagoon on the other which provides you with spectacular contrast of nature. Carry light refreshments with you to stay energetic throughout the hike. There are slippery spots all along the trail especially during the rainy season and winters after snowfall, so be careful. If you are the one who loves birdwatching, do bring a binocular with you. Highly recommended...
